Can't say i'm too chuffed with a Tuesday night trip to Newcastle considering we're playing them in the league anyway, tough game we're likely to lose as well.

All in all, a bit shit.

Arsenal away, terribly meh.

At least we made it one round further than normal.

+1, shit ground.

Over 10 years since our famous trip to Highbury..... a ground I wasn't allowed into because we'd been on the piss all day.

Was hoping we would get West Ham away. Fed up with playing Arsenal. Rather them than another Championship club though. Maybe if we go 4-0 up we can hold on this time.

Suspect both us and Norwich will shuffle the pack a bit tomorrow. Our squad is thin but would be nice to reach the quarters. Draw suggests whoever we get should we advance will probably be favourites but I'd sooner have this side taking on one of the Prem teams than previous incarnations.

It'll be a bovril kind of night tomorrow mate. I've never found it that bad for the view up there but you're just open to the elements.

I refuse to believe that there is a colder, windier ground than Stoke, especially when we had them on Boxing Day 2 or 3 seasons running.

Don't know about our fanbase in general but I'm right up for this one. Much rather we win tomorrow than at Barnsley. Genuine chance to reach the quarters, it's tragic but that's basically like winning the thing relative to how shite we usually are in the cups. It's already the furthest we've progressed in my lifetime

I'd definetly rather win tomorrow night than at home to Newcastle on saturday if given the choice. Not seen us in a quarter final either and then a favourable draw and you never know. It would be nice to that team that has a good cup run for a change, like Bradford, Sheffield United etc in the last few years.

I'd much rather win on Saturday, to progress further in the cup would be an added bonus, but a big game up at Oakwell on Saturday for us.

Aye much sooner win against Burton.

There's no easy route to the final to cling on to - a probable two legs against a top team. Obviously be good but yeah league very much the priority for now.

A draw against a big team would equal big money so that's even more incentive for me. It could mean 1 or 2 extra players in January to really push on the second half of the season.

Considering the ticket sales I don't think many share your optimism. I'm struggling to get up for it tbh, especially after Saturday's performance. Much rather win Saturday. Get through to the next round and I'm sure I'd perk up.

Meh, if we lose at the weekend there's 31 other games to make up for it, lose tomorrow and that's it. I'm just desperate to go on a cup run, just once

Fair to say Monk doesn't fancy the cup

Basically waved Norwich through with that team selection.

Ffs. People say Frankie doesn't command his area but we've conceded more from O'Donnell flapping at set pieces than we ever have with Fielding

Dragged ourselves level after Bartley's maradona was disallowed.

Hopefully we can stay in it and then throw on some of our better players late on and try and nick it.

Green, Ayling, Jansson, Taylor, O'Kane, Phillips, Sacko and Wood all left out of the starting XI so it would be a minor miracle to advance - even if Norwich have shuffled, their strength in depth is way better than ours.

Left early tonight, fucks me off that you get 15,000+ turning up for a cup game against a dull opposition for a place in the quarter finals and he puts out a reserve side.

Bastard. Mowatt misses a sitter and now we've got 10 men for ET as Coyle can't continue with injury.

Inevitable 2-0 win for Arsenal. Still don't know why there was so much excitement from our fans about the game..

Gave starts to a few academy players at least, so good experience for them.

I 100% agree with you!! The furthest we've got since 1989 and he puts out a weaker team than the one that played Wycombe in round 1. Now after coming so far, we've nothing to show from it apart from a home defeat to the most dour of Premier League sides.

And whats worse is not many people seem to care. Does cup magic not exist anymore? Do young fans not still dream about cup upsets or reaching a major final? I know I still do!!
