Reckon we'll be in for a disgracefully high attendance v Man Utd U21s tonight. I'm doing my bit.

Think we’ve shifted over 2,000 for ours. :emb:

whispers are that ours could be nearer 4,000

When we played United the other season, they only fetched about 300 - attendance being just over 2,000.

Anyway, if we win tonight we go through to knock-out stages.

They won't be fetching anyone today - 90% of Barrow supports Man Utd. We'll take their money and never see them again.

I'll probably look the result up on our forum before I go to bed.

2-0 up at halftime yet again, get pegged back to 2-2 and lose on pens. Kian Harratt showing why he's not in the first 11 - absolute shite that lad.

Total crap ain't he. One of those who uses his effort and work rate to hide his lack of ability.

Quite a few changes for us tonight, probably operating at 70% second string. Beaten 1-2 in the end but should have won easily judging by the amount of chances we supposedly had.

Offside at every opportunity, touch like a lepper, and shots landing in people's gardens. Everytime Hughes has given him an opportunity he's done absolutely nothing with it.

Lost 3-5 to Leeds kids, watched on Ifollow though 816 turned up at the ground. An entertaining game with a Rovers line-up that had never started together before. Good goal from Rhys Hughes our high point. Clearly the manager had no intention of trying to progress, didn’t bring more experience on when Leeds had a man sent off.

I don’t know if we’ve just qualified for the next round or not, but we beat Colchester on pens tonight after a normal time 1-1 draw

So this Barrow game on Tuesday is needed like a hole in the head.

We’ve got injuries all over the pitch, only 2 fit and available strikers, so the last thing we need is more injuries with tough league games around the corner.

I’d play Ben Barclay and the youngsters. I don’t want any first team starters involved in this farce of a competition.

All to play for on Tuesday night at Spotland (if anyone cares).

Both Dale and Salford have drawn with Accy, and beaten Liverpool's brats by the odd goal. However, Classless of 92 got an extra point from the Accy penalty shootout, unlike Dale.

If Dale win, they're through, and Accy v Liverpool is irrelevant.

If Dale draw and win the penalty shootout, they presumably finish above Salford having scored more goals. If they lose the shootout, it depends on Accy v Liverpool.

For the first time in my life, I want Liverpool to win a game - if they beat Accy then Dale and Salford are both through, without any arsing about. Unfortunately, Accy v Liverpool kicks off 45 minutes after The dogsdinner at the Crown Oil Arena...

Rovers at Crewe. Think anything but a win means we’re definitely out. The manager has already indicated that we’ll be giving our fringe players game time and they disappointed v Leeds kids. So after Tuesday night we’ll be concentrating on the league.

Stags have already played their three games where as Man City kids have to play both Derby and Grimsby.

If Man City beat Derby tomorrow night then we are through.

It gets complicated if Man City beat Derby on penalties and then the final game of Grimsby vs Man City needs to be another Man City penalty win for the Stags to progress, any other result and Stags are out.

I genuinely have no idea whether we are still in or out and/or what result we need last game to potentially progress.
I guess as we beat you last game we must still be in I suppose but I honestly have not checked.
I hope we win purely for the 10k prize money for the owners but that’s it.

Huge grudge match at Holker Street this week, where the winner loses. I was tempted to cancel my holiday when I saw the draw.

If you beat Man City in 90 mins or on penalties you are through. A defeat in 90 or on penalties and you are out.

Did you not see us on Friday, even if we play our "first team" I'd fancy you to win, but we will make numerous changes and our back up players who lost 4-0 and 5-1 in cup games vs Grimsby and Bolton respectively are even worst.

I went. It doesn’t automatically follow that because our first xi was better than Crewe on a given day, that whatever mish-mash of squad players and reserves we play tomorrow will also be better. It may be that your manager wants to use some first teamers, whereas Mellon has indicated he’ll go for the weakest permissible line-up. Sounds like we’ll both be out of this joke competition soon.

Let's hope so, can we both get 0 points :woot::woot:

Burton away for us. Think we just need to match Leicester's result away at Wednesday and we go through

Currently our group is:

Oxford 3 GD: 4
Chelsea U21 3 GD: 0
Sutton 3 GD: -1
Orient 3 GD: -3

Everyone has 3 points. Tomorrow its Orient vs Chelsea U21 & Sutton vs Oxford, basically the two winners of each game go through.

I would expect Wellens to make 10/11 changes again because Carlisle on Saturday is more important.

We have a competitive and big enough squad, so I we're able to do this, plus players need minutes under their belts.
