Burton away for us. Think we just need to match Leicester's result away at Wednesday and we go through

Hughes has expressed his desire to do well in this competition. Surely, this game holds some level of importance, then.

Will he field a strong XI? With one eye on Grimsby at the weekend, I hope he doesn’t.

GK: Harry Lewis

RB: Luke Hendrie
CB: Yann Songo’o
CB: Timi Odusina
LB: Matty Foulds

CM: Levi Sutton
CM: Ritchie Smallwood
CM: Ryan East

RW: Jake Young
ST: Vadaine Oliver
LW: Lee Angol

Hmm not impressed at all that we’re risking a couple of first team regulars.

Gibson and Moxon starting is not a risk worth taking given how wafer thin our squad is.

Hope it doesn’t backfire. Would rather lose 5-0 and keep them fit than see them pick up an injury .

Tranmere’s lineup at Crewe tonight is possibly the weakest team we’ve ever fielded in this competition.

Our game looks set to be off because the Chelsea U21 team is stuck in traffice after leaving at 2pm apparently.

Even though we all hate the academy teams, it's a good chance of silverware and the prize money isn't to be sniffed at either.

A firework has been thrown onto the pitch from the barrow end, in front of our goalkeeper and it’s exploded right in front of him.

Players have been taken off by the referee.

We've had some absolute c*** starting following us since we went up. The fact they're more than likely younger than 18 doesn't make that description wrong.

Imagine getting yourself a lifetime football ban over a fucking PapaJohns trophy game.

When I said all I want is no injuries tonight, I was thinking no muscle injuries, but I also don’t want any firework related injuries, thanks.

I don't know whats annoyed me more watching that, the idiot that threw it or the fact that not one person in that crowd has tried apprehend the culprit. I'd have probably lost my head and tried to drag him to everyones attention.

Yann Songo'o makes it 2-0 to Burton. He needs to go. Absolute donkey.

That’s another injury.

Now we have one fit forward. And he’s on the pitch ready to get injured.

I hate this competition.

We’re getting a bit of shellacking here, seems like Curle is making a point picking all of Hartleys useless signings.

We made a sub at HT, the sub (O’Connor) went onto the pitch and the game started but the fourth official didn’t show the sub happening.

Play got stopped 5 mins into the second half and O’Connor then got booked.

Get us out of this competition

Hendrie, Young, Harratt, Songo;o, Sutton and Odusina are nowhere near good enough. 3-0 down now. Didn't expect anything different after making 9 changes.

4-0 now. Pathetic performance on the whole regardless of changes.

Not to be too reactionary here but this pools side might be the worst I’ve seen. Utter shite. Getting twatted off a youth team

Think you'd beat the side we put out tonight. Maybe a 1-0 but still a win haha.

Did you bother? Glad I’m working!
No luckily I’m back working away again this week. The misfortune of streaming it though.

Knew we were going to be in trouble as soon as I seen the starting back four.

But this has topped all expectations

Not remotely arsed about this defeat. Although it’s been a poor performance through the whole team.

Just really pissed off that we’ve picked up yet another bad injury and we’re down to one fit forward heading into some really tough league games.

Lost 4-0. Could have been 8 or 9 by the end. Didn't have a shot on goal until the 80th minute. Woeful. Not bothered about this competition but I expect the players to put the effort in. Wouldn't give a single player more than a 2/10 tonight.

Won 1-0 away at Crewe. We made 10 changes from the team that beat them on Friday. They fielded a very strong team.

Our young lads did really well and apart from the first 15 mins of the second half, we deserved the win. Echoing what the Crewe fans on here have said but they looked well off the pace both tonight and last week.
