The South Park-TRFC relationship is an example of what’s good about football. We beat them in the FA Trophy, but they scored the goal of the game, a worldie free-kick. South Park fans have been to Wembley with us. When they recently ran a crowd-funding event to maintain facilities they were helped by individual Rovers fans and a significant donation from the supporters group to meet their target.

I remember South Parks goal celebration more than anything else. One of the best I’ve ever seen.

I dont think Season Ticket holders count for this one. Fm
Will they not get priority tickets though before they go on sale to anyone else? I thought ST holders are like gold and Trust members (which I'm not anyway) are like silver? Could be wrong, it's all changed in the last 4 years since I've been able to go

would not ever been a patch on Aldridge....20 years later is still cringeworthy !
Cringeworthy is your department now. If you have nothing worthwhile to contribute to a positive conversation butt out.

FA Cup 3rd Round

9 teams from our league participate in the 3rd round but only Cheltenham or Mansfield are assured of place in 4th round.
In truth none of the others are expected to progress. Teams with a home draw are playing teams at least 2 divisions above them and it is only Tranmere that plays a team in division above them but away.
When draw was made Cheltenham were overwhelming favourites to progress to next round but since then have been suffering a dip in form while Mansfield have just had their best result of season.

Tranmere, Exeter and a Newport have a chance, Exeter probably the best chance.

Hard to judge Mansfield yesterday based on how below par we were but could go either way that one. Mansfield have been ok away and Cheltenham are in poor form.

Morecambe I feel for, missing out on a great day out although anything below 5 would be excellent.

I would like to think we will play a full strength side with this being the first game in a fortnight, though the game with Bolton three days later is more important.
It may depend on what the attitude of the Wednesday management is. They have picked up of late, but may still rest players to focus on staying in the Championship.
I think we can win it 2-1

Barnsley are in the championship so there are no L1 v L2 ties.

We flatter against weaker teams, but get torn apart by decent ones. Barnsley are going to tear us a new one, I can feel it.

Our game has disappeared from the betting exchanges. The Wednesday training camp is shut so not sure if they will be able to play

We have a crowdfunder going for our tie with brighton, anyone who would have gone to the match have been asked to contribute part of what they would have spent on the day for ticket, beer , food etc, it has only been going for 2 days and is up too 2.5k with quite a few donations from brighton fans, just goes to show there is a lot of good in the greater footballing community and its not as bad as a lot would have you believe

Gutted to be missing this, it's typical we finally get to the 3rd round for the first time in nearly 20 years and we can't go. The squad has been isolating so it's not ideal prep either, it probably will be another spanking like the Newcastle game earlier in the season but you never know.

Upping of Tiers and Lockdown put paid to being able to attend which is a shame.
We've had Millwall in the Carabao and now Leeds, both without fans. Probably good for our ground though.

Leeds don't have a good record against lower league teams, but I think we'll have to score at least 4 to take it to extra time or win outright.
As it's live on BBC, won't have to suffer the buffering of ifollow which is a bonus.

Good luck to the other L2 teams playing higher opposition.

Beating Leeds at home in 3rd round of the FA Cup live on TV, almost 3 years ago to the day, was a cracking day out. Especially as they stuffed us 5-1 at Elland Rd in the league cup earlier that same season. Crying shame none of us bottom feeders will be there to watch an upset or two this season. Pob lwc all.

Well the common theme in mansfield fans were we didn’t want anyone big as it would be typical we’d get a big side away when we can’t go - we got our wish with cheltenham!

Will be delighted to get through to the 4th round, but if cheltenham knock us out i’ll be hoping they get a plumb tie for the exposure and tv money

Given the form of both teams at the moment I make Mansfield favourites for Saturday. We can't seem to score, and I doubt if a new forward due in this week is likely to be eligible to play.

Watters pictured training with the rest of the Crawley squad today.

Hopefully he has recovered from the hamstring strain in time to smack in three goals before being sold for a couple of million beer tokens.

I can dream.

No chance of our game going ahead at BP given the weather so we’re trying to get our game moved to Bournemouth. Should suit us down to the ground seeing as though we’re awful at home.

What chance of next Wednesday’s game vs the Stags being on?

Always in with a shout, even if Barnsley are a really good championship side and we’ve never won at Oakwell in our previous 26 visits. Should be a more open game than what we’re used to seeing in league 2.

Unsurprisingly behind already before having about four shots cleared off the line in the space of 2 minutes

Cheltenham have done their homework, the game plan for them is set-pieces and put our goalie under pressure, they probably know Stech is suspect at clearances.

Pretty sure only one was off the line, but good spell of pressure from Cheltenham, we looked shaky clearing that long throw.

We're the least clinical team I've ever seen. Anyone with half decent forwards would've scored two or three with the chances we've had.

Barnsley have understandably been on top, but we should be in front. We had two clear chances from 7-8 yards out where all we needed to do was miss the keeper, and both went straight to him. We'll probably rue them, but at least we're giving them a game.

Crawley should have had a penalty as well at 2-0. The Leeds player blocked it with his arm raised above his head.

We are missing Ollie Clarke in middle big time, and struggling to hold it upfront. Game is screaming for Andy Cook, who should be starting anyway.

Cheltenham can consider themselves unlucky to be losing so far, referee is poor for both sides but his biggest mistake was a handball in our box, could have easily handed them a penalty.

This is just typical of us at the moment. We'll dominate games but have absolutely no cutting edge, this is ending 1-0 without doubt

We only have five on the bench despite being allowed 9 that’s all we’ve got avaliable, and not one of them is a midfielder.

We could really do with another midfield option right now but we can’t do nowt.
