We only have five on the bench despite being allowed 9 that’s all we’ve got avaliable, and not one of them is a midfielder.

We could really do with another midfield option right now but we can’t do nowt.
you must have 6 out injured and 85 with covid out of your 110 man squad

How did Watters not make it 4 there the useless sack of shit? Open goal, keeper no where, easy chance. Would have added 0 to his price tag there.

We lost 2-0 yesterday. Thought our performance was quite good, it always felt like we were in the game but at the same time Swansea didn't really have to break sweat, I sense they could have shifted up a gear if we'd ever managed to get back into the game. First look at Norris and Lines - impressed with Lines, Norris didn't look too bad although his end contribution to the game was a yellow card and a missed penalty, hopefully there's better to come!

My smile is wider than my face!

Every man Jack of them deserves free beer all night.

I thought Tom Nichols was outstanding. Every time the came to him he manged to either create something or retain the ball.

Made up for Tsaroulla. Released by Spurs then in a bad car crash and trying to make his way back into the game. Great goal.

Mind you, I knew we would win when Leeds put me on at half time.

Think I shall go to a darkened room for ten minutes. :woot:

I was never a fan of Norris during his time with us, but I have to say that I ended up watching most of your second half yesterday and thought he played well - one of the better halves I've seen from him in the past few years. He's normally a handy penalty taker too.

No complaints, Cheltenham were clearly the better side, we looked a little fatigued from recent games, it was a below par performance but one I can accept all considering.

Not really sure what's happened this afternoon. Should certainly start by saying Leeds were terrible in the second half, any League 2 team would have been disappointed with that level of performance. Strange substitutions from Bielsa at HT but I'm not complaining.
However, we were sublime from start to finish and defensively nothing other than perfect imo. Yems has really got something special brewing and we've got to make the most of it.
Admittedly today was a bit of a free hit but the players showed exactly what we've been doing in recent weeks, we're becoming hard to break down which is not something I'm used to saying as a Crawley fan. We also have goals in the team with or without Watters. Things are looking good in West Sussex but I have full confidence Yems will keep them level headed. Also, glad Mark Wright made his debut for 30 seconds, now we can move on from that saga! COYR!!

as conker said, fair play cheltenham were the better side and we were clinging on, said i didn’t want a big side in the 3rd round anyway so kinda got what i wanted.

Ended up putting tie commentary on mute as the commentator appeared to be a cheltenham fan, ridiculous effort.

Wish cheltenham all the best for the next round and i hope they get some much needed tv money

Strangely I think you'd have been better off not scoring so early because you barely even tried to attack until extra time after that. I know we haven't scored many recently but sitting back to hold a lead for 90 minutes I don't think is a great strategy against anyone!

Have to agree - Mansfield scoring killed the game for them oddly because they seemed to just say after that "come on then, break us down" and it wasn't all that hard to do. Shitting our pants once we get within 20 yards of the goal is the only reason we didn't win inside 90 mins.

Think they will .

Like a cup shock and Brighton will be focused on the relegation battle .

Sooo unlucky Newport!

Both keepers were great in the penalty shootout. Some of those saves!

FA Cup 3rd Round

9 teams from our league participate in the 3rd round but only Cheltenham or Mansfield are assured of place in 4th round.
In truth none of the others are expected to progress.
This post shows how little I know about the game.
Never in my wildest dreams did I consider that Leeds would slip up against Crawley.
So well done Cheltenham and Crawley and make sure you make the rest of us in this division proud in next round.

Yep, big congrats to Crawley, top performance yesterday, won so easily they could even stick Mark Wright on at the end. Well played Newport as well, very unlucky not to get through amazing how every time they play a Prem side they always give them a proper game.

All the best to Cheltenham and Crawley tonight, hope you get decent draws.

I do also hope cheltenham get someone decent for the tv etc, they’re a decent club ran well.

They’ve pushed towards the top the last few seasons despite (with respect) being one of the smaller clubs in the division, goes to show how it can happen if things fall into place

The Leeds forum makes for amusing reading as the match goes on yesterday.

Before the game they're applauding Bielsa for putting a strong team out with plenty of first teamers alongside a few fringe players who can stake a claim for the first team, nice professional job coming up.

After the game they're moaning that the game was lost when Bielsa named that line-up, too much tinkering, too many U23 players, none of those can expect to ever break into the first team and if Leeds had played their first team would have won easily.

Usual Premier League fan deluded comments but it's even funnier when it's Leeds because they were exactly as deluded as this when they dropped down into League 2. They still thought their squad was Premier League standard and should be beating everyone 7-0. They even make Sunderland fans look grounded in reality in comparison.
