Those of us who have played at nl and nls level will tell you there is nothing easy for you there.
I’m saying it should be, maybe it won’t. But in the recent years we’ve made easy work of games like this. Even last season when we were absolutely shite, we had an easy first round tie at Dulwich Hamlet.

Dan, Dan we are in the middle of a pandemic
TV can rock up at our ground plug a couple of scart leads in and off we go.Everything is set up in our Media room
The Days of 200 foot cherrie pickers and 3 miles of cable are no longer needed at these state of the art stadia.
Taxi from media city for a staff of 4 is all that is needed.
Teams that are 4 time fa cup winners with first class facilities will get tv time

on a sidenote i have heard Wellans is heading to Salford
Told you Monday Dan

Just realised our game against Solihull is our first back after the three postponed games.

That's an absolute loss.

Lot of League 2 teams selected for the telly-box. Following matches to be televised.

Harrogate v Skelmersdale (Fri on BT)
Tonbridge v Bradford
Colchester
v Marine
Hampton & Richmond v Oldham (Sun)
Hayes & Yeading v Carlisle (Sun)
Maldon & Tiptree v Morecambe (Sun)
Torquay v Crawley (Sun)

The games, apart from Harrogate, are all set to be on BBC digital platforms, and Colchester, Crawley and Carlisle are single-camera set-ups only (with corresponding lower broadcast fees paid to clubs) but still, it's something.

No mention of the tie of the round though at Bolton.

These games have been chosen for one reason only....Bad lge 2 teams who have a chance of being knocked out of the cup by non league teams.

Any other games selected for international broadcast?

Remember once our cup tie at Accrington was live in Dubai or something so everyone was trying to steam it!

No TV for Sam “im Going to boot a ball out of play stupidly minutes from relegation” Kelly’s return to Vale Park... not sure if IFollow will be allowed?

what did he do?

Tried to impersonate a footballer! In fairness he could score a wonder goal or two but otherwise was weak as piss and just didn’t turn up for the games we needed him to in the run in... did score a stunner against Coventry mind.

He is bound to score the winner now as we have our regular non league embarrassment. Chasetown i believe is the biggest gap between giant killer and league team... Scarborough knocked us out of two competitions in one season the only non league team to achieve it (this when non leaguers were in the LDV), we’ve been dumped out by Grimsby, Enfield (3-0!), Canvey Island (was 4-2 up into injury time!) needed late goals to force replays against Dartford and Grantham Town and scraped past Ford in a replay just from memory... needed a replay to see off Maidenhead and Stevenage too.

I can’t think of many occasions we’ve beaten non leaguers comfortably the first time of asking! Salisbury, Aylesbury and Shortwood come to mind as the only ones and two of those in one season.

Can't believe the BBC haven't gone with Daggers v Mariners as their main match. Most likely because Ollie isn't a BBC Pundit and no body pays their licence fee in Grimsby!

So it’s been announced that elite sport carries on, but grassroots sport stops during lockdown.

It will be interesting to see what happens as surely some of the teams in the FA Cup will be classed as grass roots clubs (its National lge north/south and above that is elite as I understand). Will the so called elite clubs get byes to the 2nd round or will they allow the low clubs to play their ties first before stopping?

I would guess that the FA Cup proper counts as elite no matter the level of the club involved.

Seems to make little sense that these are the clubs that previously were considered safe enough to allow fans in and now aren't even safe enough to play, but then I stopped expecting anything to make sense long ago.

Looks like that’s still to be clarified. It’s a mess for these lower levels to fit all the fixtures in as it is! Assume there are no replays this season?

Could be an issue for Papa John’s Trophy games against U21 sides maybe too? We’ve got Liverpool kids a week on Tuesday which I assume isn’t elite level as a youth side?

The biggest humiliation surely was Grimsby.

Hiram Boateng has been granted to play by MK Dons so he’s clearly not in their plans. I expect us to extend his loan in January.

Home to Shrewsbury and they seem to be in free fall with the fans wanting Sam Ricketts out. I think we’ll win this and be the final nail in his coffin. 2-0 to the U’s.

Covid cancellations have been given to the non-effected team this season, has that stopped now League teams are involved? Boston United and Notts Co have had to withdraw and the opposition allowed through, there may be more I haven't noticed.
