Nice one ta

Don’t really know what to expect at home to Accy today. They’re coming off the back of only two training sessions and 16 players having covid meaning they’ve had 2 weeks off whilst we’ve just sacked our manager and had one of our best performances of the season on Tuesday night against Harrogate. Could go either way really.
You have played through October and had no fixtures postponed..............16 players down??????????????????????

He was referring to Accrington if you read his post.
16 players down and the fa have told them to play???....thought squads are limited to 23 this season
Or is that just us? [embargo]

Where are the Harrogate fans by the way? I thought there were a couple of them that used to post in the non league forums. Does promotion hold no attraction for them?

It's 23 over 21's, not 23 per se.

Exiles at home. They seem to have ditched the ‘Newport RFC’ tag, which is a shame as it was always good for a cheap dig. I’m sure we’ll do what we always do against teams who are actually good at football and lose by the odd goal in three, perhaps AET. We are so mid-table it’s painful.

Bit unfair for us to be playing two teams in the cup; Dagenham and Redbridge! Hope we beat both of them.

We appear to have some injury problems, but should still manage to turn out two teams, as our squad is so huge!

The one that posted regularly hates the chairman and manager, and isn't happy about them racking up a huge debt that will one day cripple the club when they walk away.

Yes... so have all of us because of tinpot mergers. Hampton & Richmond, Hayes & Yeading, Maldon & Tiptree, Bolton W & Erers, Crewe Alex & Ra and Havant & Waterlooville all in the first round.

Without wishing to disrespect either the competition or our opponents, I would like to see us make a few changes for our game tomorrow. We play at a high tempo and should take the opportunity to give some players a break, while we also have fringe players who should be given the opportunity to show what they can do and get up to speed with our playing style.

I'd be all for giving a few of them a start in the FA Cup. Magnus Norman, Danny Devine, Micah Obiero, Max Hunt and Jack Armer all come to mind while it's a perfect opportunity for Omari Patrick as well.

Expect Accrington to come out all guns blazing. Should be an entertaining game.

I wouldn’t make too many as it could come back to bite us. We have no midweek game coming up and then Aston Villa u23s the following midweek where we can play Danny Devine and the youngsters.

Tomorrow i’d make maybe 3 outfield changes max, giving the likes of Callum Guy a well earned rest. my team would be:

Norman
Tanner Hayden McDonald Armer
Riley Furman Mellish
Patrick Reilly Kayode

Bradford making light work of Tonbridge. Men against boys. May be less shocks with no fans to boost the minnows.

What are tonbridge? National League South?

The gulf is huge. Could end up 5 or 6 if Bradford don’t ease off second half.

Pleasing how professional we’ve been, big banana skin potentially given our form so far.

Away to Charlie's Angels for us tomorrow in deepest Kent. Banana skin for sure with our form of late. I think we have one fit striker available, a young loanee from Wolves who has struggled to even get off the bench and looks out of his depth so far, so not a good sign.
We have had some bad loanees over the years but one who struggles to get off a bench, wow! Says a lot about the fitness of youngsters today I suppose driven about by their mothers. Spoilt brats!

I didn't include Furman in my list of players who might be brought in as he has been coming off the bench and I feel we know what we get with him so I see him as an established part of the first team even though he's not been starting.

Playing his strongest team available [no your not] Crellin Baptiste and White starting.......Said midweek 3 are carrying 8....So he picks the same 8 again.
Horse racing, then my garden bar can have my afternoon, not paying another £10 to watch the chuckle brothers crellin and baptiste mess up again
Isgo and Miller are on the bench meaning they wont get mins therefore this will also be the team pulverised in front of sky cameras next Friday by Salford

Don't really know anything about FGR's line-up but we've made changes.

No RB, no first choice CB's, a 17 year-old LB playing CB, no first choice midfielders and no striker - a front three of wingers/wide forwards.

We’ve gone full strength today and pleasingly McKirdy and Oyeleke are back on the bench. Monty should be back for next weekend and the three in isolation so hopefully finally having an almost fully fit squad for the first time.

Hopefully a professional job today but wouldn’t take that for granted

We have named our strongest available 11, subs also known names, so no excuses today if we lose at Daggers and Redbridge.

Changes but all the outfield have featured in previous games, some more as subs, back up keeper getting a go.
