Really poor with the ball so far from Vale. Definitely going to be an war of attrition this.

That was awful. We got a little better towards the end of the half but really sloppy performance especially from Joyce surprisingly. He's had an awful game. Amoo and Clark done alright but apart from that some slim pickings.

Just as well apart from Power on the left Kings Lynn don't really have any players with a great deal of quality.

Got into the game more as it wore on and had a couple of decent chances but been a really scrappy slog.

They’ve been poor with the ball too but are dangerous with pace on the break.

Conceded a pen too and doesn't really look like any way back into this for us at the minute. Made a couple of chances and that was about it.

Really good open game of football at Prenton Park. Think we’re a bit unlucky to be going in all square at ht.

Come on Marine.

Vale raised the tempo now and Kings Lynn look like they are hanging on. Just got to keep plugging away and I think the goal should come. Worrall nearly did get the first one but was clearly offside when putting it in the net.

Absolutely livid with that. Should of won that 4 or 5 second half. Embarrassing. Completely undone the work we’ve done the past few weeks

Well that was disappointing. We played better second half but got caught with a sucker punch. Not a good performance from our midfield today Joyce and Burgess particularly and I have to say if McKirdy was hoping to stake a claim for a spot in the team well with what I saw from him there he failed miserably after he came on.

Credit to Kings Lynn though, stuck at it and took their chance.

I am more furious at the fact that Kings Lynn weren’t actually great. We just missed chance after chance and a proper smash and grab. The attitude after the goal was disgraceful from the lads. Lost their heads. It’s up there with Canvey Island and Scarborough that. After last years heroics this was shameful.

I’m sure we’ll do what we always do against teams who are actually good at football and lose by the odd goal in three, perhaps AET. We are so mid-table it’s painful.

Well. Hard to say that that wasn’t entirely predictable.

Lost to the better side again, didn't think either ourselves or Newport were at their best or top of their game today, very few clear cut chances but Newport dominated possession and looked the more threatening - Having said that their goals came from a mistake from our goal keeper and a very well taken 25 yard screamer, so we managed to keep them at bay for the majority of the game. Second half we had a few moments with crosses and passes but Townsend didn't have a proper save to make, we have to impose ourselves better against the stronger sides because we keep falling short against them.

I thought we looked leggy overall today, second half we didn't impose ourselves at all I thought. Great performance from young Hector Kyprianou though and he scored a well taken goal as well, certainly one we can use more in the first team when we need him.

Newport should be there or thereabouts come the end of the season, very organised side I thought.

Sounded like a decent game today, with Rovers edging a win over Accrington. Shame that there weren't fans in the ground for this one, to let the Accy chairman know what we feel about his Tranmere Rovers, my part in their demotion tweets.

A very decent game of football, both sides going out to attack. We were very short of numbers (7 first teamers?) because of injury and players playing in non normal positions. Thankfully the squad we have was still far too strong for the villagers, not helped by their poor defence and reliance to play suicidal balls out at every opportunity. Felt this one might have been a bit of a banana skin, especially after losing two games on the trot, but we were very good with the ball.

Always nice to get one over on Mr Cooper.

Seemed to huff and puff in the first half, before killing South Shields off in the second.

A win is a win.
