Atrocious 2nd half. What on earth were the tactics, because it wasn't to go for a 2nd? That was like a throw back to the last manager's approach when winning, something Artell doesn't do.

When you ask a defensively suspect team that can't defend crosses and set pieces to do so for 45 minutes, you get what you deserve. I just don't know why they adopted a defensive mindset, it makes literally no sense.

Green and Pickering were atrocious, with Green it's becoming a habit. Let's see how we do in the replay shall we? Hopefully it was better than that 2nd half dross.

Tbf JJ, Green and Pickering were very good in the 1st half, Green particularly, as the whole team was. But yes 2nd half they were both weak links.

Eastleigh reminded me of Vale, can’t play it on the carpet but good team spirit and good at lumping it into the box which we struggle with. Very disappointing.

Spoken by somebody who will watch Vale twice a season.

Didn’t realise Cheltenham had any trouble but seems they actually were scrapping in the stands between themselves! Always seem like one of those placid clubs like Peterborough or Burton who bring a load of fans in Tommy’s before the game who sit there and discuss the meaning of life and politics.

Good work from Popey for the goals, keeper has let one through his hand but superb character again. 6 wins in 8 now in all competitions! Was worried how we’d manage with no Wozza but Browne looks like he did ok.

3 goals from lumping it into the box! Although, the build up for the first and second was pretty decent football for a hoof ball side.

Similar to the great lumping four man passing move last weekend.

Should probably have won based on chances but can't complain too much, we got sloppy when well on top and once Carlisle got back in it they stopped standing off us and looked a real threat. Tbf they've got some very decent players, Nathan Thomas has always looked class when I've seen him, and both Jones' were impressive. Was funny watching Scougall knocking Ebou around first half, as someone shouted he should 'pick on someone his own size' the thug.

Thought we were fucked at 2-1 so to get back in it quickly was a relief.
Gonna be a cracking replay I reckon, both sides got goals in them and depending on the draw could be a lot at stake.

How did your goal come about?
It looked to me that Crewe struggled to cope with the pace and movement of Tyrone Barnett all night.

Jesus is that where Tyrone ended up! Think we only ever saw his pace one when Clint Hill did a dodgy pass to put him clean through at Carlisle!

To be fair Crewe spent the whole second half against us having Nicky Hunt lump long balls into the box from 70 yards especially when the big lad came on. Artell would be very annoyed at him “Wacking it”

I dont particularly think we played that well yesterday. We just hit them with a quick 10 minute burst which made it a comfortable win. Pope showed that he still knows where the back on the net is even though his legs have gone. Hes our topscorer with 6 goals when alot of his appearances will have been 20 min sub appearances. Goals in our squad have been shared out quite well with Pope on 6 bennett on 5 cullen on 5 taylor on 5 amoo on 3 and smith on 3. Hopefully get a decent draw but probably end up with oxford away a ground we never win at.

Our commentators were all over Ebou, reckoned he was the best player on the pitch, running the midfield single-handedly, unplayable, involved in everything FGR did, the key to FGR's good season, one of the best players in the division and the exact sort of player we could do with.

Looking at the FGR forum, your fans seem less complimentary of him. Think someone said he was ineffective or anonymous or something yesterday.

As for Trevor Kettle, despite all the build-up to the fact he was refereeing, it sounded as though he had a fairly decent game.

Sounds like the archetypal game of two halves. I wasn't even listening on the radio yesterday, so only have the info from my uncle and what I've read on Twitter and our forum. Fair play to Vale though.

Regarding the stands issue, it appears there was someone in block 7 (basically our new "singing" section) who the stewards were aware of - he was then targeted by the stewards didn't want to go and his mates backed him up, and so on....

Wasn't at his best. Thing with Ebou is he's a great athlete, always puts himself about and can be great running with the ball but still pretty raw at times, his end product can be hit and miss and he's liable to pick up quite a few bookings. He also spends far too much time rolling around on the floor. Was sensible to take him off yesterday, was on a yellow and looked like he was on his way to another one.

At times you wonder how the fuck is he in league 2 let alone playing for Ebbsfleet last season, but at other times you can see why. Still needs a bit of work imo.

Well, that's Crawley out. Fleetwood looked better than us all game. In fact the only thing we did better was our goal. Bit of a cracker that.

People close to it say their second goal was a foul on our keeper but the wrong angle to see it myself.

Decided to go sit in the east stand (gazeebo) to watch today. I don't like sitting down to watch football. It's too cold but the view was pretty good.

it was a tale of 2 keepers at Exeter looking at the highlights
We didn't deserve to win it. Yes our keeper was hopeless, but we took the foot off the gas second half. It was inevitable.
I doubt we will be on TV either thanks to Boston

Do they still do a TV replay on a Thursday night? We had the ridiculous situation where we were put on at Maidenhead a few seasons back but we were not allowed to move our Saturday league game so how to play twice in 44 hours! Won em both mind in the end!

Good to see some of the top league 2 sides having to piss about with replays while we get a good break! Hopefully it’ll have an adverse affect on our promotion rivals and it affects league form.

Don’t get me wrong I’d love to be in the cup, but it can be an awkward distraction.

He did say some.

Phew. I was almost #outraged and #horrified.

I think we all want the usual teams in the draw tomorrow don’t we (local rivals aside) ? Spurs away etc

United or Arsenal might be ok at home as they are meh at the moment and would be under huge pressure.

Spurs away for the new ground would be ok...

Stoke is the one most of our lot want... it’s a huge banana skin for them and one their fans probably don’t want with their performances of late.

Probably get Gillingham Away knowing our luck and even if we got a prem side it would be something like Bournemouth who we played year on year up to around 8 seasons back and wouldn’t make us any money.

Fair pile of replays from tonight which scuppers our chances of getting on the telly-box by default by virtue of there being hardly any other replays.

Leyton away now moved to mid week, shame as I was looking forward to a Saturday away day in The Smoke...

Yeah big shame, only consolation will be if we get a decent tie tomorrow night. Will still get down to Orient I suspect.
