Away at North Ferriby. All it does is shorten the time before I have to go there. Should be winnable given our record against these kind of teams, although they did look half decent on Saturday against our 10 men.

That means 5 of our last 6 cup draws have been away to Portsmouth, Truro, Torquay, Bognor Regis and now Ferriby! All miles away.... :ffs:

at home to some little team from the Wirral?? but we have played them at home in the FA Cup before apparently, winning both games in 1955/56 and 1966/67

Home to Gateshead. Could have been far worse and they arent in great form.
Its a repeat of the draw in 2012/13 with Alfreton emerging winners on that occasion.2-0.
Very much rinse and repeat the same teams for the last few years at this stage for us.
The team sure are going through a sticky patch and i know alfretin gave us a tough game in 2014. Would not have inagined then id be liveing a train stop away in chesterfield

Home to Chester. I was hoping for some feeder league no-marks so we would at least stand a chance of a confidence-building win, but instead we get a relatively local side who will bring a decent crowd, are bang in form and have kept 5 consecutive clean sheets. I would rather have had it at their place so at least we could have had a decent day on the ale before getting knocked out!

Tough for Wealdstone but St Albans should fancy their chances of getting through.

Which tie do we think wlll be selected by BT?

Stamford v Wrexham?
Burgess Hill v Dover?
Should be the Stamford game, massive coup for them. Although they'll probably pick Tranmere or Forest Green or another of the *fashionable* teams no matter who they're playing.

Is Jim White actually capable of speaking normally and not in that corporate, dramatic Sky voice?

AND IT'S LIVE

Martin Tyler, but yeah.

Great 3-1 win for Matlock tonight. First time they have got to the fourth qualifying round in something like 27 years. After they`ve travelled all the way to Workington again, this time in the league, they go to Altrincham with nothing to lose. Nothing at all against Alty but hope they can get through!

They must have a chance really. The 3-0 scoreline against Morpeth on Saturday was definitely flattering, and they were not a good side. We really have looked poor for about 11 months now.

Nantwich beat Halesowen 2-1. Now face Halesowens local rivals Stourbridge at home, which guarantees a NPL club in the 1st round. Tough game though, would love a Nantwich vs Crewe game in the 1st round.

That'd be great for them.

Bad memories of Crewe! Put on a pretty good showing up at your place in, I think, 2008 in the first round but lost to a Clayton Donaldson goal, who then proceeded to celebrate in front of us. Twat.

Only reached the first round once since then, a 4-2 loss away at then League One Carlisle. Again, put on a good show but going a goal down on the stroke of half time killed us.

Merstham away is an ideal chance for us to get back into the first round, although I'm taking nothing for granted. Mid-table in the league below us but have scored 5 goals in their last two home games. Lost 1-0 away last night.

Would love an away game at Portsmouth or Sheffield United, should we get through. Failing that, Charlton or Gillingham at home so we can have an easy progression.

Haven't Mertsham played all their games away (12) and are top of the league while they wait on their new ground.

Nope. 16th after 10 games with 12 points. You must be mixing them up with somebody else! ;)

£10, £5 and £2 at SB this weekend, so hopefully a half decent crowd.

Fully expecting to get beat this weekend. Not even sure how we're going to put 11 players together given that of the few we have fit, two are loan players and two are suspended. I think you're allowed 7 subs in the Cup, we'll do well to field 2.

Not even sure we have a fit keeper in the squad, if Lee Hook plays then god help us.

Off the top of my head, we have the following players unavailable
Goalkeepers
Arnold (Injured)
Walker (Injured)

Defenders
Magri (International duty)
Thomas (Suspended)
Orlu (Injured)
Obileye (Loan - presumably cup tied)

Midfield/Attack
Modeste (Injured)
Moore (Loan - presumably cup tied)
Emmanuel (Suspended)
Marsh (Injured)

Add all this to the silly petty infighting I've seen all over Facebook means I can't see Saturday being an enjoyable day at all.

I'm usually an optimist but I'd settle for a draw.

This lucky series of draws in the cup has been a godsend. Getting through two rounds in the cup and now having a win on the board in the league, I think we should be starting to feel confident that...whisper it...the season might not be a complete write off. Harvey is a good manager with a decent record - I feel confident he'll get us up until midtable by the end of the season - and there's actually a hope of a proper cup run.

Yeah. We allow drinking for all league games, but FA competitions it's not allowed.
We drank pitch side at Corby a few years ago. It's not allowed but hardly enforced at small grounds
