I was already abroad for that Trophy semi at St Albans so only know of it by reports. Not in my memory no. Was hoping they’d win too, this will be tricky. Decent away day though from what I remember.
Artistic director, ok what does he do then? Two bands that are linked to each club. Enter Shikari sponsor St Albans and as I’m sure you know Robert Del Naja of Massive Attack owns shares and is also artistic director at FGR
Only record I can find is FA Trophy 1998-99I was already abroad for that Trophy semi at St Albans so only know of it by reports.
Only just read about that conference game on the official forum, completely forgot St Albans had made the national division. That second leg was brilliant, still remember going mental when Gary Smart scored that late winner. Came from 2-0 down (1-3 on aggregate). Syko scoring right on half time got us back in it and the second half was incredible. 3000 there that day. Meant we were the first club to ever reach both FA Vase and Trophy finals.
We played them twice in the Conference 07-08 as well

Surely that is Guy Garvey's prerogative?Does he sponsor Jamille Matt's elbow
Unbelievably they've overlooked Champions League prospects Bolton in the TV picks.
I agree with most of them, can't see the appeal of the Sheffield Wednesday game though....

Widely acknowledged as the channel of champions.ITV4.
BUM.Us v St Albans on BBC2, late on the Sunday afternoon. Like we can overlook our previous televised form.....
What games have been picked for TV out of interest?
Thanks mate. No quite sure I see the appeal of Wednesday v Plymouth. Yes they are 2 big teams for this round but it's still league 1 v league 1.Friday 5th November
AFC Sudbury v Colchester United (19:55, BBC2)
Saturday 6th November
Banbury United v Barrow (17:15, ITV4)
Sunday 7th November
Sheffield Wednesday v Plymouth Argyle (12:15, ITV)
Stratford Town v Shrewsbury Town (15:00, ITV4)
St Albans City v Forest Green Rovers (17:15, BBC2)
Monday 8th November
Dagenham & Redbridge v Salford City (19:45, ITV4)

I guess Wednesday alone have enough fans that even if the only people watching are Wednesday and Plimuff fans it will still draw in more viewers than any other game would. That's ultimately how these things work, all about viewer numbers, and the majority of matches are of no interest to neutrals unless they feature a really small team at home. Whether the reason they don't just do all big teams (Sunderland, Ipswich, Bolton and Charlton) is because they think this would get too much criticism or because they don't think these clubs are quite big enough to compensate for the lack of interest neutrals would have, I don't know.
Think there's also a general bias towards matches being played down south (of the six matches picked, 4 are in the south-east, one in the midlands (though still south east of Birmingham) and then Sheffield. I think this is partly because it's cheaper for them to move all their broadcast gear from London, and also partly because TV execs making the decision are probably all Londoners and their impression of a small non-league team that would be perfect for TV is someone playing amidst the idyllic surrounds of the London commuter-belt rather than say, Gateshead or King's Lynn (which I'm assured despite its hoity toity name, is a bit of a shithole).
Then there's... well Salford. Not even BBC this time so can't be down to Gary Neville asking his bosses for a favour. Presumably their matches get lots of viewers just from ManU fans alone.
Think we’ve flogged 750 tickets so far for our glamour tie at Crewe.
Can’t be many clubs that have such a shite record as us in the FA Cup over recent years.
Or any cup competition come to that.
