Rest are cracking picks in my opinion.

I think Dons v Dons should've been on personally, despite them being in the same league.

I think its probably because they play so often it's not quite the same as it once was.

I'd have been more interested in Curzon v Mansfield, MK v Wimbledon or even Bristol R v Weston, but I appreciate I'm not their target audience any more.

They often do that for FA Cup games, although the reasoning why is a mystery to me.
Something to do with fitting it in before News at Ten? Also the Monday night will be when they have the draw

Glad they aren't showing Dons v Dons, but disappointed they aren't showing Gas v Mare, think Weston will sell out their allocation and could do with some extra money

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Think Curzon had a chance but the killer is the ground, we have one of the nicest grounds in non league……great for Mansfield fans as in will get as many tickets as required but usually they want a proper non league ground for an fa cup tie.

Don’t see any reason personally for the Northampton vs Kettering and Harrogate vs Wrexham games……..but pleased for Kettering money wise as they have had some crappy seasons recently.

Looks like their support will be bolstered by the " Shitheads " as well.

I imagine demand from Mansfield will be very high for this if it stays at 3pm but I’m not quite sure what number to quote.

Kettering have strengthened for their big day out, just signed 36 year old Gary Hooper to bolster their ranks…

Birmingham are away at non league Sutton, biggest club in the competition, absolutely makes sense.

Wrexham doesn't make sense for the football, but does for the watching eyes.

Ours at 7.15 on a Monday is a strange one. We'll have a good number supporting from London, but thats difficult to get to for most.

I'm off that day so I need to decide if I want to go and best route. Guess it depends how many tickets we have etc

Understand that about Brum (although Sutton were recently L2) but from a neutral viewpoint seeing them and Wrexham on TV every other week will get a tad boring

I don't know if I'm making this up but don't Wimbeldon refuse to play on TV vs MK to ensure they don't get any TV money?

Depends when they go on sale, i’m on 6 points atm but will be getting a wrexham ticket to take me upto 7, which will hopefully be enough.

Did i mention i could get a tram direct to ashton from about 5 minutes from my front door

We clearly need the money.

From our perspective, with the tv companies would fuck off selecting us so they can just have a massive wanking session over our owners, who wouldn't even be there ffs.

I thought S4C usually picked up one, which I assumed would have been Wrexham. I guess it will now be whoever Newport are playing.
Aren't there also a few picked for 'overseas' coverage, which is why we can't confirm a 3pm Saturday kick off yet.
Nice of the BBC to give Kettering fans the prospect of an all day bender in Northampton.

But does it?? I’ve always wanted to know if it genuinely gains anything for the tv companies in these rounds, did Salford get much larger viewing figures?

I cannot see first and second round games f any interest to neutrals or prem fans regardless of side involved surely the only people who watch these rounds are other lower league football fans and most of them seemed turns off by it.

Find its more tv companies hoping one of the famous owners bother to turn up than actually bothered about viewing numbers

Newport have Peterborough at home. S4C would get better viewing figures for a Pobol Y Cwm omnibus.

Can understand all those picks apart from ours. Expected ours to be picked up by ESPN over the pond but can't see it getting much viewing over here

Showing a League v league game live for the first round of the FA Cup just doesnt make sense to me, but then im only a football fan that wont be making shedloads of cash from it

Makes just as much sense as when they get to the third round and they'll show the likes of Man U v Crystal Palace or Chelsea v Newcastle...

Not a shock really given WSM these days is a haven for druggies and neanderthals
Most of Weston are Bristol City fans anyway aren't they. When we play them in pre-season there's always loads of BC shirts in the crowd

It’s the same though they chase the figures.

In reality no-one in football is bothered about northampton vs kettering for instance, they’d have been better off picking a woking vs cambridge or maidenhead vs crawley

At least with wrexham they’re away, just hope we don’t end up being in that daft sunday thing.

I quite agree that Harrogate v Wrexham will be a rubbish game- and the media coverage of us is nauseating....and they will also go on about what a plucky little club Harrogate are which is always a laugh. As annoying as it is we are just click bait so we're always going to be on TV somewhere.

That said it in doesn't matter a great deal- I expect the football on display for all first round ties to be absolutely dire. Would be nice for some of the limelight to go on the smaller clubs still in the cup though.

very rounded point.

That said like others have said, it’s why man utd are always on in the 3rd round regardless, no matter how hopeless they are they’ll always have the viewers.

Worth noting whoever was on in our slot clashes with United v Chelsea for the 2nd half and beyond. May as well chuck a game on whose team will bring in a sizeable chunk of supporters watching on TV.

Not many are watching Gas v WSM over that.

How the hell is that not televised ?
Or even hednesford as the lowest ranked team. Started in the extra preliminary round.
Absolutely bonkers to go with Wrexham.

Boreham Wood have done what they usually do and announce out of nowhere that our game with them will be on the Sunday with a 2pm kick off.
