Boreham Wood have done what they usually do and announce out of nowhere that our game with them will be on the Sunday with a 2pm kick off.
Do the BBC still show highlights from games in a Soccer Saturday style programme?

Most of Weston are Bristol City fans anyway aren't they. When we play them in pre-season there's always loads of BC shirts in the crowd
Well they have to get some excitement somewhere. A Rovers/WSM fan on our forum thinks they have a fairly equal mix of Rovers and City at WSM, although i always associated Somerset with City

You're wrong there. It is 50/50. In fact Rovers have a thriving supporters club there. Bournville estate is Gas as well.

Boreham Wood stuck our ticket allocation on sale via their website (e-tickets), a load of us then started trying to buy them, only there was a fault on the buying page.

Loads of our fans started messaging their X account, which then started replying to our fans with a basic: “we’re currently having issues with our systems, please call the club on this number, but be aware lines are busy so no one will probably pick up”

After a bit of random clicking I managed to figure out the problem and how to fix it.

Never change Boreham Wood, you bunch of fucking idiots.

Been moved to Sunday 2pm due to the extended highlight bollocks, probably worth about 50p between both clubs.

Why do they have to move the kick off for extended highlights?

It hasn't been the highlights show for a few years, that used to be 8 games at the same time, they're moved now for international TV coverage so you can't even watch it legally in this country, we had the same at Curzon the other year.

Fair enough, I guess it's not the live at the time thing though?

That makes no sense, why would you change the time just to get a highlights programme?

Isn’t it like a final score type show where they go live to all the games they pick? And can show goals and highlights?

I honestly haven’t a clue mate, I don’t really understand why it’s moved to be on a highlights show, just seems any excuse not to play at 3pm on a Saturday nowadays.

Either way this could negatively affect Curzon financially, as whatever this pays (you’ll imagine pittance) will not cover the decrease in attendance that may occur due to the time change.

Tickets went on sale at 12 today for the Kettering game and the club have just been on Twitter saying there’s very limited tickets left and it’s gonna be a sell out. Think Kettering have been given the usual 1,400 but I’m sure there’ll be a few in the home end, would be impossible to police with addresses!

There is only two games at 2pm on the Sunday, stags and the O’s game.

Supposedly not anymore.

Just an FA Cup MOTD which will be fronted by the 3rd/4th choice presenter and have random pundits on.

Least its better than nothing though.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
There is only two games at 2pm on the Sunday, stags and the O’s game.

It is kind of them to move it to a day when man united is at home although at least they are 16:30

Sunday for Mansfield fans is a lot better for them in buses and cars, the quick route heading round Glossop or hadfield is an absolute nightmare on a Saturday for traffic, should be a lot quicker on a Sunday. Not as good for trains but they will be running just every hour than every 30 minutes. Tram travel from Manchester Piccadilly is still every 12 minutes even on a Sunday and tram stop is 5 minutes walk from ground…….Sunday is not bad and man united at home won’t matter because Curzon is other side of city and that football traffic won’t be near it.

It’s a Sunday, people, particularly at this level do not expect to attend a football game on the sabbath.

£100k for the TV appearance apparently, that'll probably be more than we've made in the last four seasons!

Clearly curzon have been taking note of our followings as they’ve allocated 2,000

Bit of a shambles really, Curzon informed the club the allocation and ticketing details at 4.10, said they would only be on sale on their site at 5pm but they were on sale from 4.30.

Got to give a non-league outfit some leeway obviously but the lateness of this is causing serious headaches for our many places who operate coaches to away games, which is usually a massive percentage of our away travel.

I realise there’s an FA Cup thread already, but easier to see who is playing in this one etc. Will merge after this weekends fixtures.

Walsall away for us. Not fussed if we get knocked out, want to focus on the league.

Curzon gave a few sides in the EFL a tough game in recentish years, beat Exeter, took Cambridge two games and penalties to get past them and lost to Wimbledon 4-3.

We will make changes but also that does not mean it will not be a strong side, we made 6 changes against Wigan and still won. Think Will Evans could do with a rest, Louie Reed and Aaron Lewis likely out injured.

Weird that there is not one single tie involving two League One clubs - I’d work out the odds against that if I could be arsed but it’s pretty high…
