If we play a strong team, i.e not a patched up reserve team like what we put out at Bristol the other week, we should get through comfortably.

A lot depends on the pitch. If wellings pitch is a cabbage patch, we may struggle. On a good pitch we'll have too much.
If the pitch is crap then I wouldn't mind KC not risking Ibehre seeing as he's just coming back from injury. Asamoah will probably be more effective against non-league defenders as well.

Well Ibehre is yet to start a cup game this season, he was even rested against Liverpool (though ended up playing a good hour of football seeing as they took us to extra time)

It will be a routine victory for us on Friday. There is no way that Salford will be able to handle the pressure of playing on the BBC in front of millions of viewers against a League Two side. I also can't remember the last time we lost to a non-league team in the FA Cup on TV. Comfortable win for us. In fact, I would probably play the reserves if I was King Ronnie.

At least Alan Shearer won't be giving them a pre-match team talk.

I can't even make it to our game on Sunday and I'm ridiculously excited at the prospect of potentially being in the 3rd round.

We better not cock this up.

I really hope Pools put Salford in their place tonight.

I was quite interested in the documentary etc at first, but I'm sick of it now and you just know they'd fix it for them to draw Man United or Man City in the next round.

Weather forecast means Muggleton and Akinde must start. No messing around for us, we need to bypass the midfield if we are going to get a result and the 40 mph winds should help us keep the ball off the ground.

I'm with you on this. Friend of mine who supports United said he could never bring himself to wish a win for the chimp suspenders, personally though there are worse things in the world of football than a team 100 miles away on the opposite coast who you've had a couple of niggles with. Also Hartlepool are due a break.

I wouldn't mind seeing Salford win, and I genuinely think they've a good chance tonight too.

They'll only win if Hartlepool let them.

Hartlepool have far more quality, so if they show the right attitude they'll win. If they turn up expecting an effortless walk in the park like Notts County did, Salford will probably Spring a surprise again.

Mandron can't possibly be as bad as he looks so far tonight.

He really hasn't adapted to the conditions. Watch him score now...
And he almost did!

What a miss!

It genuinely went backwards, should've broke the net.

Hartlepool should have wrapped that up second half.

Start Bingham instead of Mandron in the replay and they win, simple as that.

Probably the perfect result for Hartlepool. They'll smash Salford at Victoria Park, but going into the draw for the third round with Salford pretty much guarantees ManU in the third round.

Hartlepool are an embarrassment to league football, some comical misses from them tonight!

We've got Scunthorpe at home and Darius Henderson, who hasn't scored all season is bound to score!

Could be another low crowd for us, our FA Cup home games don't really attract anyone unless its against a local side.

Apparently a decent crowd up Sixfields, hope we can get in the hat for the draw on Monday, performance not important.

And todays names out of a hat are

Stephens, Dembele, N'Gala, Nelson, Yiadom (C), Akinde, Muggleton, Gash, Batt, Odoffin, Bailey.

So three CB, three full backs, one CM, 2 strikers and batt

Muggleton's long throws will cause havoc today surely.

Hope they've managed to sort that fire out in the Sixfields Tavern. Scrolling through Twitter before the game, it looked quite a nasty one.
