I was born and bred in Barnet when it was actually part of Hertfordshire. Not many people in the town of Barnet wanted to become part of London. It became part of London in 1964 when it combined with Hendon, Edgware, Finchley and a few other places to become the London Borough of Barnet. I now live in Watford which is still in Hertfordshire, has a tube station (will get three more in a couple of years) and is within the M25. Hopefully it will never be part of London.

As Luton airport is now London , Watford has little chance of fighting off Boris and his invading army

Yep I think claiming somewhere is London due to a London prefix is a bit simple. Only 2 of London's 6 airports are in London.

Northampton will host Northwich Victoria after their 2-0 Replay win over Boreham Wood last night. Please make sure you defeat them as they should already be out.
They fielded an ineligible player in both the 1st and 2nd qualifying rounds. They had to forfeit all winnings and gate receipts but kept their place in the competition which IMO was bang out of order.

And they're the Northwich run by that mad chairman, not the proper Northwich.

Why do the FA change how the deal with this every single season?

Reckon we will smash non-league Forest Green 3-0. They won't be used to our big pitch.

But our big pitch has been significantly reduced in size this season to suit our playing style. Seems to be working though, and I think we should be confident about getting the job done at the first time of asking.

They have a couple of very decent wingers who will enjoy a wide pitch to play in and their playing budget probably isn't much different to Oxfords. I do think you will win though, their form has slipped a bit and you are a better side than Wimbledon.

Turning our attentions to this then! Really can't see us getting beat with the run we are on, famous last words, but Northwich look like they could pose more problems than Yeovil did.

Dunno how we will go with being the big boys in this tie, having been underdogs away at Coventry in round 1. Hopefully Wilder will keep them at it.

We've had a terrible week, but with the pressure off, I can see us showing up for this one, with possibly 2,000 Luton fans in attendance and as such the number of links between the two clubs. We have a good record in the cups this year.

We're on a fantastic run of 4 points from 2 games and are playing Whitehawk. There's no doubt in my mind we're in the third round...

Millwall away. They're bang in form so that's the end of our cup run for another year,at least we can concentrate on getting in the play offs again.

Peterborough scoring for fun at the minute whilst we seem to be conceding for fun. Could be in for a right hammering if we aren't careful.

I'm well up for next Sunday. We're not playing amazing but we've scored 9 goals this week and actually won a couple of games, plus it's the cup - anything can happen and the potential prize is massive.

My feelings exactly. I'm actually struggling to find a match that tempts me on Saturday so may be reduced to thinking about Xmas a few weeks earlier than usual. I can't remember the last match (if any) that we've played on a Sunday.

Hopefully we can get the defence sorted a bit better over the next 7 days. I wouldn't say no to a replay at the Keepmoat (followed by a win) - it's a relatively easy run up the A1 (even quicker on the train) and I could tick off another Yorkshire ground.

Hopefully we can get past Welling on the Sunday, certainly won't be an easy win though.

I can't remember the last match (if any) that we've played on a Sunday.

Playoff final, Trophy final, Halifax home twice (opening game and playoff semi-final 2nd leg), Sheffield United at home, all from 13/14 season, apart from that though, not many recently. :P1:

I am looking forward to Sunday now on the back of this week, and fancy our chances, really really don't want a replay though.

If we play a strong team, i.e not a patched up reserve team like what we put out at Bristol the other week, we should get through comfortably.

A lot depends on the pitch. If wellings pitch is a cabbage patch, we may struggle. On a good pitch we'll have too much.

When the draw was made I would have said we were favourites to go through. Not so sure now.

Yiadom back is a plus, but Clarke will either be ineligible or suspended, our central midfield look so off the pace due to a combination of the lack of fitness of Bailey and the lack of confidence of Weston and Stacey will probably be given permission to play by Reading.

Welling's pitch could not be described as good if our visit last year is anything to go by.

Hmmm. I believe much beer was drunk on most of those occasions. We seem to be quite good on Sundays. :bg:
