Stevenage (beat fellow League 2 team Swindon somewhat convincingly)

No idea if Stevenage were good or made to look good by a completely inept display from Swindon.
I'd say it was probably the latter, but doesn't really matter as they are the one's in the hat (albeit it's not a hat or even a bag anymore)

Got a feeling we might get turned over today by Gateshead, tricky long away trip, t an athletics stadium, got JJ O'Donnel a former player of ours, and any game that isn't Saturday 3pm or Tuesday 745 we seem to mess up with alarming regularity. Also perhaps one eye on the game next weekend against Notts County we might rest a few or have a few who arent quite as up for it as they might be on a subconscious level. You would hope that wouldnt happen.

Be interested to see what sort of team we put out, we have a strong squad we the likes of Collins, McCormack and Justin not getting games recently or coming back from injury so wouldnt be surprised if they come in, so whilst there may be some changes, it should still be a very good side if we go down that route.

Full strength team for us today then so showing plenty of respect to Gateshead. No Cornick at all though which is interesting.

This is our most important game in the next month or so for me and we're already 1 down. Do one Derry.

Cracking game yesterday, gutted we couldn't hang on though. Think with our midfield back for the replay we stand half a chance. Ref was shite, wouldn't let us put a sub on in the build up to their equaliser and then pulled play back when we were breaking 5 v 1 right at the end. And to top it off he sends Coops to the stand. Shocking.

Fuck me this BBC programme is totally shit. Luton scored 5 minutes ago, they have cut to the game twice and still haven't shown us the goal.

Does look a very serious injury to be fair, he is still down and they are talking about ambulances coming onto the pitch to get him now. We have had a couple of serious looking head injuries in recent seasons that have actually turned out to be not as serious as they looked initially as the medical staff were just taking every precaution. Have to hope that is the case here, but it does look very bad.

Just seen it again on my stream and its really pretty innocuous looking, but he is totally out of it before he hits the floor sprawled out. Argument to be made i think that the ref should stop it as its pretty clear he is KO'd.

Been watching a stream of our game and the BBC coverage on the tele, not sure the lady watching our game is watching the same game as me. Been all us this half, and we have been guilty of over playing at times for me and she keeps banging on about how good going forward Gateshead have been!

They have looked ok defensivley but going forward haven't had a great deal going on this half for me. Understand she is there for the potential story but she is rather over playing her hand somewhat.

As I type we've scored a 3rd and look even more comfortable.

Disney have exclusive rights to show Luton goals. It's currently showing on a big screen in Times Square.

Comfortable in the end then, think the last 2 goals put a gloss on things that might not necessarily have been there, dont think it was a 5-0 sort of game but we were clearly the better side and dominated possession and territory throughout, especially second half. Didnt make the most of it until toward the end of the game where we became clinical and i think they tired a little having not had a great deal of the ball.

Thought they actually did pretty well to stifle us up until the second goal but after that they lost there way a little bit. They had a few moments on the break when they put the ball into the box, hit the post and bar within a few seconds of each other following a set piece but we were already 3-0 up by that point.

Hylton got booked for a dive straight after that for what was a clear trip on him, but I guess thats his reputation coming into play!

Other than those couple of breakaways from them they didnt have a great deal of the ball, despite what the BBC lady was trying to play up, and in the second half it had the look and feel of a training exercise.

Happy with that result. Surprised we didn't make more changes but perhaps NJ wanted to keep the momentum. Thought Gateshead would be a tricky one but perhaps the athletics stadium helped to reduce any Fa cup atmosphere. A tight little ground with a decent crowd might have made it more difficult. Good to hear that JJ got a run out.
I wouldn't mind West Ham away round 3. Another athletics stadium with the same result. :bg:

Got away with that big time. Rovers could have run up a cricket score had they not imploded and had 2 men sent off. Artell and the players didn't show up, Blackburn allowed us back in it. Yes, the players deserve credit for making the most of the implosion, but the chance to win the game was today. We won't win the replay because they won't self destruct quite so badly.

I'll take being in the hat, but this result does paper over the gaping cracks we've got.

Completely dominant against Guiseley, although as usual our main problem was being clinical enough.

It should of been at least 3-0 by half time, Shaw Lane gave Mansfield a much sterner test and they were pretty shocking to be honest.

We were in control before the red cards, so it’s a tad disappointing we only got three but a comfortable win in the FA cup against anybody is good I suppose.

Weren't they just?

Guiseley were hilariously bad and a complete and utter shambles, I've not saw a side as bad as that at home for some while.

Their tackling was ridiculous. Just lunge at our players at any oppurntity whenever we're near their box - their red on the half way line was a shocker.

As you say, not clinical enough, we should have scored 6/7/8 today. Though I think all concerned would have happily taken 3-0 at the beginning of the game

Another day, another 5 goals. 59 goals now scored in all competitions so far which is pretty incredible.

What happened to our terrible record against Gateshead?!

So who do we all want?

Not many left flying the flag in league 2.

Another league 2 side at home would be good - especially county so we could get to the 4th round.

Other than that big side away?

Cambridge clearly didn't want to be in the third round remembering the effect it had on their season last time they got there.
Last season? Our form was virtually the same before and after we played Leeds

seems like there's more of us than normal, owing to us having a good first round and so many of us then getting non league opposition.

I'll take any of the big teams at home, alternatively Newcastle, or Sunderland seeing as I think we'd beat them if given a second crack.

Just want to get past FGR. Anything else is a bonus. (Though if we were to draw, say, Arsenal away it would make the replay more exciting... )

We bottled it big time. Mowbray needs to stop fucking about playing weakened teams, could have easily lost to Barnet and couldn't have really complained had we lost this round. No thanks to yet another poor display from the officials but we really should be getting used to the poor reffing by now.
