I'd have thought Ramsbottom would be more worthy of comment than us in the tinpot name stakes
You're right, but.....................I'd already heard of Ramsbottom before today:

In any case........Ramsbottom is the sort of thing you'd call your pet snake..........

I'm looking forward to a trip to the Giant Axe, I've not been there since our Unibond days.

We drew 2-2 tonight, so it'll be our turn to make a long midweek journey next Tuesday for the replay. It's going to be very hard for us to get anything out of that if we couldn't do the job at home tonight. Still, I'll be optimistic and hope we can pull it off somehow.

Now just keeping an eye on the score at Pickering, to see who the winner will play on the 24th.

EDIT: Pickering won, so that'll be another long away journey if we win next Tuesday's replay

Our replay tonight at Ramsbottom is being covered on Live Sports FM, so I'll be listening in to see how we get on (and to see if there's any kind of reaction to our disastrous performance in the league on Saturday).

It's an 8pm kick-off, and I hear that our Supporters' Coach (with the players on board as well) already left as of 3:30pm. Absolutely crazy for a midweek game at this level, but it is what it is.

EDIT: As expected, our starting 11 is all over the place (even our manager is starting and our only sub is the assistant manager), so it's going to be an absolute miracle if we somehow win this game.

EDIT: Finished 5-1 to Ramsbottom. Disappointing, especially off the back of Saturday's 6-1 drubbing in the league, but no shame in losing tonight with such a makeshift squad and against a team in some ridiculously good form as of late.

Check the pitch GS when you get to the ground, some strange reason they don't like cutting grass, wasn't in great condition when they knocked us out the FA Cup a couple of year's ago.

Iirc it was a quagmire last time we were there and lucky to be played. The rain had hammered down for a few days and all day Saturday!

It's a good job they have some cover behind the goal for the downpour day's. It was a nice and sunny day when i was their at the cup game, but they couldn't be arsed to cut the grass, definitely could have done with a trim.

FA Trophy 3rd Qualifying Rd tomorrow. Cant anybody be bothered with this.

A rather uninspiring draw as well

Alfreton are at home to Farsley Celtic are going well in the Northern Premier League Premier who are going well and we are mostly certainly not Just as with last season I expect a tame 0-2 defeat.

Well we beat them in the FA Cup when we were as shit as shit can be (about 3 winless weeks after you lot smashed us), so you've got no excuses!

Home to Chester for us tomorrow. I won't be disappointed if we lose (even though it will wind some of our fans up who seem to hate Chester for no obvious reason), and I'll be indifferent if we get a win. If we get comfortable in the league I'd love a run in it, but I don't want it getting in the way of a relegation battle.

Friday 23 November 2018 Buildbase FA Trophy Third Qualifying Round Result

Att. 770 - Darlington 0 AFC Telford United 2

As expected that's us out of the competition for another season, far too good for us.
I'm just pleased wasn't a league game, I'm not sure how much more time TW has after this woeful performance from a set of player's that looked clueless at times.

As for TW the noose is getting ever so tighter and the chair is beginning to wobble!

All i can say is Jonny Burn must be a really, really bad defender if he can't slot into this defence and replace the extremely bad Terry Galbraith. He's absolutely shocking, even 2 or 3 Telford supporters were laughing their socks off at our number 6. I said your lucky we have to watch him every week.

Another 5k in prize money down the swanny, and lets be honest it's not as if we need it. What a fuck up!

We’ve noticed, quite often the club will post something on social media and we randomly attract the odd Southport fan replying something a bit bizarre in reply. I’ve rolled up in Southport off the train ahead of a game before now to be greeted by some random abuse as well, weird.

Anyway, we’re a bit short in some areas tomorrow so expecting changes especially with Morley already hinting at it in the press. In the middle we have Burton injured and Roberts suspended, so wouldn’t mind seeing youth prospect Cain Noble given a go considering that.

Not overly bothered how tomorrow goes myself really.

DarkSithLord meltdown in 3,2,1...

Stones scrape through with a 3-2 win at Concord despite being 3 up with 25 minutes to go. Eagerly awaiting further ties with Wingate & Finchley and Brackley.

Southport 0-0 Chester.

If I said it was an enjoyable match I'd be lying. I think there was only one decent effort from each side in the whole match.

Haha.

So So pissed off I just cant be arsed!!!

The club is in a state and deep in the mire.

Hereford won today but next weekend is an absolutely massive game. Two teams woefully short of confidence. Have to say not looking forward to it.

That is of course if Billy isnt shown the door in the meantime because its clear the players dont buy in to his methods.

I can only hope

We scraped a replay with a 90th minute equaliser.
We failed to work hard enough and were sloppy with our final ball/finishing, starting in the third minute when Liburd was through 1 on 1, slotted it past the keeper but not enough on it and the defender got back to clear off the line.

I hope Fleetwood came to watch, they'll probably play their under twelves after seeing that!

Torquay through after a penalty shoot out at Basingstoke. Not a good performance apparently and Basingstoke were quite good.

Didn't want a cup run anyways.

All I can say about that Telford game is - Abysmal.

Chester will absolutely hammer us on Saturday. Only thing getting me through being there, is knowing I'll be hammered.

Another dreadful performance, probably the most spineless of the season so far, as we lost 3-1 at "home" to Biggleswade. Chris Todd's record so far is played 10 - W1 - D1 - L8. The one win was against Cirencester in the Glos' Senior Cup. Not impressed at all and the "Todd out" posts have already started. Bit unfair because the team left is crap but it's the same excuses every game at the moment.

Haven't won a league game since September 1st v Hungerford. Shocking

Well, I'd guess that playing approx 90 miles from your home town against a side that are hardly a big draw had something to do with that.

And I bet Greenwich Borough took fewer than 11 fans to support them too!

Over 600 sold for the match at Chesterfield on Sunday, we're obviously not gonna get anywhere near the amount we took to you on the opening day of last season but we should easily get into 4 figures, I'd have thought.
