Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Well that was shit, no real attacking intent or interest from the majority of the team. Waste of money on a bloody cold afternoon, and yet another blown Wembley opportunity.
Need a proper league refocus now to pull us away from the bottom scrap.
Not much to entice any floating support ( what’s new.)

A terrible day in the club's history, we lose embarrassingly in the Trophy and Terry Skiverton announces he's leaving after 23 years of service. Player, Captain, Assistant Manager, Manager, Academy Manager, pretty much everything. An absolute club legend.

I hate all this “concentrate on the league” nonsense. Especially when we played our strongest team - I’d understand if we played our reserves to rest up our first team.
The loss of Corie Andrews is hitting us hard and I just can’t see where the goals are going to come from to keep us up, particularly when Molesley sets us up in a 7-2-1.

Well we won on pens at alfreton. 2nd round in a row we have needed pens in the trophy.

Hopefully a home draw next round
What's your excuse this time, is it "work" again or have you thought of a new one?

Meanwhile, the REAL fans were there, with me.:bdick:

Well, that was fairly straightforward. :ds:
Haha. You funny

Alfreton 12 shots
Halifax 2 Both in the move for your goal.

You were extremely fortunate. We should have won in the 90 minutes as Halifax had all the possession but we had all the chances.
Didnt take any and then we didnt pratice penalties and it showed in the end.
Gutted to be out as we could have gone far IMO.

Well that was a truly unforgettable experience and performance. Still scratching my head over how we didn't get for what looked an absolute stonewall pen at very end of the first half, absolute no attempt to play the ball. No idea what was going on for most of the second half with the fog. Think Alfreton can feel a tad hard done by but an ugly win is a win. Like this straight to pens idea, especially in those temps.
Forgotten how much i hate non-segregated games.

Well at least we don't have to go to Grimsby on a Tuesday night...

Game was flat for both sides, good free kick to put Bromley ahead and then Panayioutou slipped while one on one and missed a sitter. We then started committing bodies forward without doing much and got counter attacked

PFFT! Never looked like losing and never in doubt. Our guys practice penalties AFTER training, on their own initiative, every day and got their reward, as they did at Bradford in the last round. Getting pretty get fed up lately of mediocre sides failing to beat us then crying to their mummies that THEY should have won. There's a reason why we're TOP OF THE LEAGUE :bdick:.

Would’ve been good to progress further in this, no doubt, club need every bit of positivity it can get but deep down are that bothered I don’t think so. I didn’t follow the game at all was out on the golf course following the fog delay. 10 over today for anyone that cares

Funny how Southend don’t care about us and it’s our cup final but cause trouble when they went two nil down. Could care less about this cup myself but it was very funny to watch the Southend fan try and storm the home end only for a female steward to drag him back, embarrassing fella.

Southend put us under pressure with their closing down early on but after that they simply run out of steam like in the league game and it was so easy for us from then. We didn’t even play well to win and haven’t played well for a few months but it’s not required against the poorer teams at this level. Southend have definitely improved since the last match, reckon with the right recruits in the summer they could be further up the league next season. Hopefully not Morpeth away in the next round for us.

Did you only manage to play 9 holes because of the fog then.

We had our pants pulled down by Solihull today, they were just generally better than us all over the park. Them and Alty are the only two sides to win on our patch this season, and the quality gap between NL and NLN seems quite a jump.

Unfortunately we seem to attract idiots like that at nearby games. Legoland must have been shut.

Stockport County.
Beat Larkhall 3-0 with a much changed team to get some minutes into players and some academy lads starting to show they can break through. Didn't go but it sounded comfortable.

The usual stuff is coming out of the game about what a credit Larkhall were, what good spirits their fans were and of course, the inevitable "good luck for the rest of the season"

I'd just like to put on record that I personally don't care how they do for the rest of the season. I won't be checking and neither will any of my fellow supporters. They, like me, wouldn't even know where to look as none of us know what division they are in. If they say any different, they are liars.

Got to fancy a brotherhood final at Wembley here with a gate in excess of 40,000.

Just a real shame to see the two B-word tinpotters in there threatening to spoil the party AGAIN
