Spenny at home, no better chance to get through.

Be wary of the Spennymoor strangler (Curtis) and their theatrical turf kissing, do have a habit of swarming the referee whenever the opportunity arises.

Sounds like most clubs in the national league.

If we get knocked out, do Boreham Wood even have enough weeks left to complete their league games? Any thoughts ahead of these ones? I cannot really be bothered preparing a full scale report when there's teams here I've never even heard of (who tf are Halifax?).

Wild reckons he’s going to play his strongest team after they’ve had a week off, and we’ll heavily rotate with so many games coming up in quick succession. Would expect that to be us out, but we are weirdly good in this competition, no matter how weak we seem to go we still manage to get to the semi-final. Then we lose.

I’d go:

Slocombe
Kelly-Evans - Rawlinson - Lacey - Taylor
Vincent - Francis
Nemane - Rodrigues - Sam
Mitchell

That’s really not a bad second string tbh.

Expect a full team for us minus Mullin and maybe Davies. We seem to be taking this thing seriously as Parky does love a cup run, and surely Garrard rests a few so we're probably going to go through.

Hopefully we get to see what this McFadzean is like.

Yeah we need to keep people match sharp as we don't seem to be playing as many games as everyone else at the moment. It's another game against Mullins ban at least.

I'm on record as saying I'm not bothered about this because I'm not.

But will there be a snap of me and a few others with the caption "Wembley bound" somewhere on the world wide Web if we make it?

Possible.

Stockport could also become the first team since 1993 to do the tinpot double! Mouthwatering...

Only time my side has been at Wembley and I didn't go was this trophy final against Halifax!

That said with the changes to the FL trophy I'd rather win this one than that one.

Could do with Halifax and Spenny winning. So our Saturday games v Dagenham and, if they win the next round, County get moved

Still doubts over our squad. When he says full strength I'd like to think he'd he smart about it. Our skipper is 50/50 so I hope he's not risked. Spence is fit but again he's been out with a tight hamstring so again I personally wouldn't risk him either. We have 10 players to cover the front 4 places in the formation so god knows what combination that will be.

Whilst it would be nice to progress we have been there and lifted the trophy so I personally wouldn't be fussed if we went out. Bigger fish to fry this season.

I don't know but if they don't the league will ask them to play Thursdays as well, which they did with Braintree a few years back.

I know nothing about Spennymoor and won’t after Saturday as I can’t make it. Trophy has now become our only realistic chance of salvaging something from this season so huge pressure on Mcmahon to get something from this. Much better sides still left in it compared to our rabble so even if we do get through it will be tough to go further unless you get a lucky draw.

Season doesn’t finish until the middle of May. I doubt BWood have anywhere near all their Tuesday’s filled up yet.

The fixture pile up caused by staying in this competition excites me.

Should have sacked it off lads

Parky's eyeing up the FA Trophy winners and 4-7th place league finish but bomb out of the play-offs combo, to get some sympathy if he's sent packing end of the season. Genius, really.

Not bothered if we get knocked out of this, although some of our weirdo fans will probably complain

They’re playing Everton on a Thursday night so that’s one midweek gone. They’ve got 21 games left to play this season and 13 Saturday’s and 12 Tuesday’s left available to play them, another trophy win could tip them over the edge but their very close to having to play twice a week soon. I don’t think the score enough goals to win the title anyway, will probably end up drawing too many.

15th May season end

21 games to play, 2 to be arranged. FA Cup on 3rd March between a Tuesday and Saturday game.

Currently 2 games a week until April. So we'll probably play them April 5th. Other match would next have a Tuesday on April 26th.

Two midweeks remaining in May.

This is non-league football :)
Clubs finishing seasons Sat - Tues - Thur - Sat - Tues - Thur - Sat is nothing new
& we have had a very tame winter this year

Pitch inspection at 8:30 tomorrow morning for our game at Halifax.

No idea when we’d play this if it’s off. We don’t have a free Tuesday until after the next round is due to be played.

It won't be on. Forecast is terrible for the weekend and the rugby have screwed the pitch up anyway..

Doesn't the cup take precedent over league games though? So highly likely you'd have to postpone a league game and play the cup tie. A sensible way to do that would probably be move the league game as your place and play the tie then since your playing us regardless

If Solihull and Stockport go through (as they likely will with the ties they have), neither of us will have a game on the 12th March anyway. So we might be allowed to play it then and fit the next round into the schedule on a Tuesday afterwards. But yeah, us playing each other midweek soon anyway means there’s a decent other option as well.
