You finished in the top relegation position, that means (from experience) you’re first in line for a reprieve at the AGM cup.

If not all the best in the National League, at least you’ll be on telly a lot.

You played again reserve side in both games

Yeah this is true, injury crisis and covid at their place and today fringe players came in and ended up with 2 defenders on. Different games with our strongest side or close to it.

Olagunju not ready, release Pope (sadly but he looked done today), McKirdy (crap) pay off Whitehead and possibly Burgess.

Offer Legge a new deal if he hasn’t because the defence was strikingly poor without him!

A good experiment to see if anyone should get a deal on the fringes and the clear answer is no!

Thought it would be a 5th 5+ Beating in the last 2-3 games of a season in recent years in the end!

If you’d said In March we’d finish 13th I’d have had you locked up! So pleasing we were in a position to even experiment today.

Brown man of the match if it wasn't for him we would have lost by 7. When you make as many changes as you do your always going end up with this basically a team of strangers who were half arsed not fit and not interested. In the second half we had at various stages Whitehead at centre back burgess left back and worrall right back and about 4 strikers on it was pretty much go out there and do what you want dont bother with any kind of formation.

Hopefully about 15 will get released and players under contract like Whitehead and burgess get moved on too. Whitehead just isn't good enough and burgess was good First season but very poor 2nd season I'd pay him off.

Congratulations to Cambridge and Bolton. Well deserved.

We were hopeless today and have scraped into the playoffs. Morecambe will fancy their chances to make Wembley whereas we’re going for 3 0-0s and winning twice on pens!

Yes, but it's a funny old game.

Are home supporters getting in then?

I think there will be yep for both of our games. Not sure the other playoff will however due to the regulations in Wales

All that money Salford are spunking at it and now two years running they’ve not even made the play offs, love to see it.

With no salary cap next season I could see them going up a level in recruitment again tbh. There will be a few sniffing around the gk and Thomas-Asante. But for the budget they have I don’t think the rest of the team looks that great on paper. Lowe is solid and Henderson is still pretty good despite his age but I’d take several squads in league 2 over their’s that are spending less money.

Congratulations to Cheltenham on their title and Cambridge and Bolton on the promotions.

After another dire performance today, it feels like I should be congratulating Morecambe on their play-off final appearance too.

Salford will be kicking themselves for losing last week, because as expected we put in what was probably one of the worst end of season performances I've seen, we had a ten minute spell where we had a few chances in the first half. But once Salford scored their 2nd we just gave up.

Rumours circulated before the game that Jobi McAnuff was not to be offered the job and this was just confirmed:

This statement basically confirms that our lot haven't really given a proper shit for at least 3 weeks, all but three of our starting XI won't be with us next season. A few rumours going around that our board told a few of the players around Easter that they wouldn't be retained.

Congratulations to Cambridge and Bolton.

16 wins I think out of 23 in the second half ofthe season for Bolton to get promoted - Shows the levels you need to reach to turn around a bad start.

Peter Lim, who also owns Valencia, has them teetering on the brink of bankruptcy. He’ll soon get fucked off with Salford.

The experienced players played a huge part for us today. The composure for the 1st from sarce was huge. Made it into a much more comfortable afternoon.

Well done to the others promoted and good luck to those in the playoffs.

I imagine Morecambe will be favourites but it can be tough finishing closest to autos.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes.

It’s hard to put into words what this feels like, it’s been an incredible effort from the entire team and club all season. We were generally predicted to finish bottom half, some even had us to go down. So to secure automatic promotion is an unbelievable achievement.

The conduct of the team this season has been amazing, we’ve had no sendings off and no players suspended all season and none of our squad contracted Covid. The discipline and togetherness shown to achieve both is something I could only dream of for my club.

Mark Bonner, what a legend. Even if we come straight back down under him, Bonner’s status in our history will never be forgotten.

Congrats to Cheltenham on becoming champions after a brilliant season when they were top (or top on ppg) just about all the way through. Well done to Bolton too on a brilliant second half of the season. Looking forward to playing you both again next season.

Feel sorry for Morecambe for falling just short but will be hoping they come up in the play offs. They’ve been superb this season.

Get the fuck in. Now I’m off to get smashed.

Congrats to the Cambridge boys on getting promotion. Only downside for you lot is that it’s A shame Peterborough have finally managed to spend there way to promotion otherwise could have been a good derby next season.

My in laws are big U’s fans so delighted for you.

Can I be the first to start the “Berry back to Cambridge” rumours?

I should also so say congratulations to Cheltenham and Bolton too!

We played very well today and finished the job after a scintilating second half of the season, Congrats to Cheltenham your first title well deserved, and Cambridge fantastic season and you beat more than one other team (Boat race lol)

After 4 relegations and the club surviving by minutes during the most horrendous spell in our history, we have final come back from the bottom 20th in the 4th tier. With these owners and this manager i expect us to push on next season. Good luck to all 4 teams in the play offs hard to predict but i will say FGR may just return to form at the right time.

Congratulations to all at Cheltenham, Cambridge and Bolton (even you Masi). The former two have been up there all season so richly deserved, and a remarkable turnaround for the latter. If you're in the top three at the late stages no one can say it isn't deserved.

I wonder if Evatt's agent will be on the phone for Championship jobs!

As for us, just happy to see us here again next season, been a funny one aside from COVID, plenty of controversy. I wouldn't have believed anyone if they'd said we would have been safe with two games to go and all our longer serving players that Jolley had treat so poorly were instrumental in achieving that.

Congratulations to Cheltenham on your title and Cambridge and Bolton on promotion, incredible turnaround at Bolton in fairness and Cambridge have done incredibly well to sustain the pace.

Good luck next season.

We will not beat them if we need to score more than 1 goal in two games.
