Sol Campbell and Jason Roberts going to have a field day with this...

The sackings of Chris Powell and Chris Ramsey were "disheartening", says anti-racism campaigner Troy Townsend.

"To lose both managers sends out a really strong message to those aspiring to get on this journey," said Townsend.

"People will look and think 'Is it worth it? Is it because of the colour of their skin? Or is it because they are bad managers?'

"I know people will say results are not right but there is a lot more to it than that.

"Today is disheartening without a doubt."

Sadly it always comes down to race for some reason.

A manager got sacked, it really is an non issue what the colour of his skin is. A manager is evaluated on the level of his performance, and this season QPR and Huddersfield have apparently not reached their expectations. It really has no bearing on what colour a manager's skin is. It annoys me how certain campaigners always bring it up as soon as a manager gets sacked.

Good to see Trevor Sinclair calling it out as bullshit. Ramsey has been awful and Huddersfield are doing the same as they've done previously. Powell will get another chance elsewhere.

I hadn't even noticed that both managers were black when I heard they'd been sacked. I was more interested in how they'd performed and the reasons they were sacked.

These mongs seem to forget that Huddersfield and QPR hired black managers in the first place, hardly a sign of racism is it.

The very fact that football clubs and fans are so desperate for success that managers come under pressure and/or get sacked in such short periods of time, means that recruitment and survival based on merit is about as in-discriminant a playing field as any industry around.

Sol, Jason and this Troy fella can console themselves with the likelihood that it won't be long before Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink gets up to this level, be it with Burton Albion or by being recruited elsewhere.

Football clubs would employ one legged Chinese lesbians if they thought they'd win them more games than any other.

Hughton's on thin ice here. If he doesn't extend their unbeaten start into at least December he will get the chop, and rightly so. If it was someone like Oscar Garcia or Poyet you could let them lose 2 or 3, but not Hughton, for obvious reasons.

Hughton and Hasselbaink, 2 black managers who have their sides right at the top of their respective leagues are still in jobs.

Must be some sort of conspiracy.

I know yesterday's result was bad but that seems a bit harsh on Symons. Fulham were a joke when he took over, he kept them up last season and he's turned them into a decent midtable side.

The issues seems to be their defence.

They score loads but also let in as many.

Bit surprising because Symons was a decent defender himself.

Wish these twatty clubs would stop sacking their managers just before we play them.

Played Warnock in his return to QPR and our next two games are Blackburn and Fulham...

Blackburn have sacked Gary Bowyer.
Given he has been under a transfer embargo for over a year, and lost some key players in the summer, I think he's done a pretty decent job. Shame to see him go. Quite a few managers have gone now just after playing us...

They were making some steady improvement so a bit surprising..

Mind you he never seems popular with the fans and are the owners after Moyes?

David [5-5-0 or 6-4-0] Moyes has been sacked by Real Soc.....Horrors !
He was the Vila Fans fave and the Bookies Number One for that post... but they went too early for a "non-payment" replacement for Tactics-Tim.Waited a week and they'd got their 'Fan's' fave for nothing.

Shame, a match made in heaven that would've been.
Mid-Table mediocrity forever, but still Prem.:bg1:

The reason I raise this in a Championship thread, is the glut of sackings here, the "whisperings" of Moyes going has been building up for 2/3 weeks now.....and we, in the Championship have some really 'heavy-rollers' who could meet his demands.

Moyes, outside of Man Utd, was always the highest paid Employee.
He will want that, and would get it with a Championship side easilly.

I can't see a Prem side employing him...but a Championship side, with dosh, may help him resurrect a damaged CV.
