erm ACTUALLY

I drew at home with Brentford and Charlton, lost 3-2 away to Palace (duplicated that result on the first go), then won away to Forest and at home to HIGH FLYING Bournemouth. It literally took an hour of saving and reloading before each game to reproduce the points tally. Fucks sake.

Then we got thrashed 4-1 away to United and lost 3-2 at home to the same opposition in the League Cup quarter final. Still sixth in the table!

boo. Don't like it when I'm still in L2.

Played some more on Saturdya but not enough to reach the actual season yet. Played a friendly against Nostell Minors Welfare and it finished goalless.

On that result, we're close to that double promotion, I'd say.

I think I do..

I missed out on the playoffs on the last day of last season cos I lost to Exeter with Wrexham.

If it isn't that then I don't know either :dk:

can't actually remember but I think I'm two PSF's in with Blackpool.
This is what it was. I thought PSF meant 'play-off semi final'.

But it means 'pre-season friendly', doesn't it?

Live and learn.

So yeh anyway, I also signed a AM C on a free but I'm paying him £3,000 pw + £600 per appearance. On paper my team is strong, just I'm kinda putting all my eggs in my 3-5-2 shaped-basket so if it doesn't work then the season could be a write off..

Had a weird career path. Gone from Halifax manager to Notts County to Leyton Orient (Championship) to premier league Derby in the space of 5 and a half years.

Home_ My History Job History.png

Bearing in mind the first seasons of Notts and Orient I took them over being 22nd and 23rd respectively, and left Notts County 2nd in the league in 2016 I have done pretty well. Romania didn't go so well and I lost every game at the World Cup, this after smashing Wales over 2 legs in a playoff to get there.

I'm onto something special at Derby though. With the TV money and a bit of transfer profit (made quite a bit on Will Hughes and replaced him with an experienced James Milner and a Mexican international) I am currently 4th in the 19/20 season, I have beat Chelsea 4-0 and beat Man City 2-1 and Spurs 4-1.

Star signing has got to be Carrasco from Monaco. Incredible winger. Actually bought him from Wolfsburg for £19.5 Million and he's been one of the best players in the Premier league.

Finished my first season at Macclesfield. Came 8th in the league which exceeded expectations, albeit only slightly.

Looking to make it to the play-offs at least next year. Only problem being that half my squad [and the vast majority of my better players] are loans, so I'll need to either get some of them back next season or replace them with a similar standard of player.

I have my first promotion!

Barnet, who had a media prediction of 1st but a target of the playoffs have been guided to the league title with 2 games to spare. A really great season.

It started off pretty decent, sitting 3rd after 18 games after a 1-3 home loss to Braintree, but after that I changed my formation from a direct 4-4-2 to a passing 4-2-3-1, and the difference was huge. I went on to win 14 of my next 15, including a 2-1 win away atCheltenham in the FA cup, and I wasn't even running away with the league. Macclesfield had almost matched my form and I only just sat ahead.

I then had an FA cup game home to West Ham, a defensive formation was set up and I narrowly lost 0-1 to a penalty, I was happy with how we played. We carried on the great league form, and apart from a bizarre 6-2 loss to Bristol Rovers I managed to pull away.

I then suddenly hit a bad patch, where I could not score at all, even though we were easily the leagues top scores, fortunately only Macclesfield were close, and they replicated my form so with 3 games left (everyone else with 2) I had my lead cut short to 5 points.

Alfreton was my next game, they sat bottom and relegated, surely a win for me? The team didn't disappoint, and we won 2-0 comfortably. 2 games left to play, and it won't be easy in league 2. I have a wage budget of 33k and 15k to spend in the transfer market.

Soon I will make Barnet become a Prem team ;)

End of November and lower-mid-table for me at the minute with Coventry although a win or two and you're suddenly in the top 10. Missing a decent striker but you need money to sign those...

Could probably do with another CB, too, but again, things are tight and the Board are now suggesting I sell players, which bodes well!

January coming up soon, so they'll be an opportunity to try and correct a couple of things via loans.

After reading Libatores thread and being intrigued by the fall of Real Madrid in that, I've decided to holiday 50/60/75 years and see which giant has fallen to the bottom, then try to rebuild them.

Hopefully one will fall otherwise I'll be holidaying for a long time.

Give it 5 seasons or so and you usually have Bolton and Villa in L2.

Into January now and Burnley are knocking it out of the park. FIFTH in the Prem. I had the opportunity to spend another £10m if I raised expectations to 'top half finish' but thought it wasn't worth the risk. I have absurd Champions League dreams.

In March 2023, Bolton are 8 points adrift at the bottom of League Two.

Villa are still in the Prem, but have spent time in the Championship.

Stevenage boss atm, 20th after 8 games. I'm not worried. I am worried about the 2 exams in a few days I'm neglecting.

Slightly surprised to see us as outsiders for the title at 25/1 this season, predicted 7th. Rivals Preston are second favourites behind Colchester, with former club Wrexham at 16/1 to win the league.

Certainly going to be a couple of interesting games next season. Two more PSF's (pre-season friendlies, Smat) then we're good to go.

Right then, Scunthorpe away. My first competitive game at Blackpool, and number 218 in total.

LETS GO.

Unbeliveable.

And no, nothing has gone wrong. My club decided to set up an affiliate without telling me, and of course of all clubs it's QPR...

I picked up a 4 star defender on loan for the season though :woo:

After seemingly about to be sacked, and a lot of 'El Sackico' by FM, my form shot round. Lost 2 in 11, and 2 points off the playoffs

Mid-January and now nicely set for a PO chase. Signed a CM on loan from my old Club Portsmouth, who are top of L1 with my squad(!), and signed Denny Johnstone from Birmingham on loan as well. Will look to balance it by getting rid of a couple (one just about to go).

Got a fourth round FA Cup replay against Wolves (in the relegation places in L1) having beaten Yeovil, Gainsborough and Newport. That'll be good for the bank balance.

Can't find a decent CB to take on loan either so opted for a loan LB, Jason Talbot, and move Reda Johnson inside when he's available again.

Just finished season 6. After last years 14th placed finish, I won the League Cup and finished 5th in the Premier League!! Pulled off some big results along the way. Beating United, City and Spurs at home definitely helped. Also helped with Chelsea wanting two of my backup players for 21 million combined, made 80 million all together, most of those were reserve or sub players. Big buys for me were Gianluca Gaudino from Bayern for £21 Million, Yannick Ferreira Carrasco for £19.5 Million and little buys like Jores Okore for £7 Million and Jordan Rossiter for £8 Million.

Was just looking through the leagues and was staggered to see Bolton in the CONFERENCE. Other big moves into the Conference but up, are Weymouth and St.Neots Town, Wrexham are back in League One, Plymouth are back in the Championship, but apart from that, it's some of the manager movements that have made me laugh.

In the lower echelons, these are some of the new managers.

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is at Brackley, Paul Connolly's managing Hereford, Joel Byrom's holding the fort at Leamington, Ian Evatt's in the dugout at Lowestoft, David Fox is slumming it at North Ferriby, Tony Craig is living it large in Altrincham, John Eustace is now at Bolton, Kevin Davies has taken up the Crawley job, Dean Lewington FINALLY left MK to go to Grimsby and Jay Bothroyd is the Woking gaffer.

A bit further up in Leagues 1 and 2, Tony McMahon is now at Port Vale, Joey Barton is the York manager, Rio Ferdinand has just got Forest Green relegated back to the Conference, Rickie Lambert's moving up the ladder with Chesterfield, Jamie Carragher is Portsmouth boss, and Gareth Barry is at Walsall.

In the Championship, Matt Upsons at Brentford, Keith Curle's stature has somehow risen back to the Championship with Huddersfield, and Paul Tisdale's the man who's seen Plymouth rise through the leagues.

In the Premier League, Ned Kelly (ex assistant to Billy Davies at Forest) is somehow the Aston Villa manager, Jens Lehmann is at Blackburn, Zinedine Zidane is the new Jean Tigana at Craven Cottage, Stale Solbakken is City boss, Ronny Deila is at Spurs and Peter Crouch has gone from Morecambe to Charlton to West Brom.

Oh....and finally, Nigel Pearson is Man United manager.
