Fully expecting Barrow to beat Walsall and Grimsby to beat Colchester whilst we get a lucky 0-0 against Stevenage

Whatever anybody thinks about the EFL Trophy is their opinion but up to midnight tonight Tranmere fans have donated £33,000 and Sunderland fans have donated £143,000 to their clubs community funds and local charities through buying virtual tickets. You might think it is a worthless competition but a lot of people will benefit from this game.

We're just a nothing team right now, begging for the season to end so we can reset, been one and a half seasons of boring mid-table hoofball under Darrell Clarke and we are just stuck in limbo now.

We have zero threat since we sold our only goalscorer, and we have always been a soft touch defensively the past two years. We did turn up against Cambridge and should have at least drawn though so there is something there, but with a rookie manager, no crowd, no attacking intent we are seemingly sleepwalking into a relegation fight.

I'm going for a 1-0 loss, just can't see us scoring.

Expecting another nail in our coffin and Colchester to reinvent themselves by winning away in Cleethorpes with Pell scoring the winner (he's not well liked by us (and he's from Cleethorpes)).

Port vale away Saturday. We certainly need to be switched on from minute one and try and get them on the back foot because Vale and Clarke have both turned us over this season.
The is also some similarities on the eve of the last time we played them. Evatt just won the dreaded manager of the month award like he had before we played them in November. We are on a winning run and Vale are on a run of defeats. All that said we have to get three points just to stay in the hunt. A draw or a defeat will end automatic promotion and make it a up hill struggle just to make the play offs. Going for a close 2-1 win

Yesterday was probably the best performance we’ve put in since October, did everything but score the goals our play deserved and that was largely down to the surprise recovery of Dave Worrall. Amoo and Oyeleke returning was a boost too. We won’t know who is fit though until 2pm Saturday as Clarke keeps it quiet so might have more back who knows.

Rodney limped off so he might miss out so Santos might be chuffed about that!

Tough game, everything clicked at Bolton and we had most big players fit for a rare occasion but still missing a couple and expect a different kind of game.

I said pre season I expected Bolton to have a slow start then improve like Plymouth last season with the turnover and losing culture that needed to be blown away so I’m not surprised to see the change in fortunes.

Pitch is bobbly. Not great for footballing play. It wasn’t as bad as it has been but was suggestion we didn’t treat it as much before Cambridge to make it harder for them so may do the same.

If we put in the performance levels of last night and effort I will be happy even if it may not be enough to avoid defeat, would take a point but as long as positive signs for the upcoming games are still there and built on from Tuesday I will be happy enough.

Would I be shocked if we won? No. Do I expect us to win? Probably not.
Santos is a beast of a player and i think he would have Dave in his pocket 8/10 games....He is not the same player that played in that shit 5 Evatt played pre Christmas. He is Feb player of the month in lge 2 for a reason.
It was not a slow start it was a horrendous start due to the players simply not being good enough, and changing 4/5 players each game because of silly hamstring injuries or players not being fit to play 90 mins.
All outfield players will be putting 10/11km shifts in so if you have players with knocks or heavy legged will be found out.

I was going to say the same about Evatt manager of the month going into the Port Vale game. Talk about deja vu! It would be typical us not to turn up for this one after playing so well against the form sides.

Fitness won’t be our issue, we’ve been high pressing and working very hard, just lacked the quality where it’s mattered, should of had 5 or 6 midweek and probably played better in terms of overall performance than we did at your place in December.

Missing the Pope it has to be said. Guthrie’s not the same gravy.

Dave is likely out I’d think. Depends which Dave turns up anyway he’s either unplayable or raw as anything!

Is Melbourne playing? I imagine he'll be one to leave us in the summer despite having another year on his deal.

Seeing as both ourselves and Scunthorpe had 0 shots on target on Tuesday and we've forgotten how to create chances and score, I wouldnt be suprised to see another boring and dull game tomorrow.

We desperatly need the season to end as well, we've just been bumbling along for the last 2 months. Ten games ago we was 7th, now we're 14th looking for a new manager and facing the prospect of one hell of a rebuild in the summer with only 6 contracted players signed up for next season - So personally I want this season over with.

Not beaten Scunthorpe since August 2002 as well.

0-0 or a 1-0 loss as E10Rifle already said.

IMO we need a new experienced manager to come in, but I will give Jobi the next 4 games until the end of March to paint a bigger of picture of what he can possibly do. So far we've looked no different than we did under Embleton.

Absolutely huge game for us this weekend. Season defining potentially.
We've just started to hit a bit of form now and some of our injury and suspension problems are improving. Everyone in the team interviews is looking psyched. Think it will be a great game and I'm hopeful we can get the 3 points.

Yeah he has been playing a lot and has been good. Scored on his debut and was one of our best players against Cambridge on Saturday as a left wing back, I hope we keep him come next season. Though not sure how that will work now with the manager who brought him in with that view to making it permanent now gone.

The last time we played you had lost your last 5 and we had won 4 on the bounce.
So history could repeat itself.

If you have any half fit players they are going to be soon exposed we are a totally different team now than the one you played in November
The turnaround with your lads has been tremendous, and if its all about timing with a winning run your bang on the money for going up
So mate whats made the difference thats seen such a change in fortune ! ?

A number of factors. Changing Crellin who is not ready for lge football for Gilks who is past his best but the way he marshals his defence is worth his place alone.
Going from a 5/3/2 to 4/2/3/1 just before Christmas give the players a better shape and our defence went from shipping the most goals per game to the least.
Evatt being promoted from coach to manager and letting our DOF go has given Evatt a free hand in recruitment.
The last but the most significant was recruiting players in January that are a step perhaps two above lge 2.
That was the board having confidence in Evatt

Interesting, well I look forward to a 'Lancashire Derby ' with you next year, it will be nice to see our ground bursting at the seams !
Good luck in the final 2 months

Not sure who I want to win tonight, Barrow have games in hand so Southend are more the side we are escaping so them beating Walsall means they are catchable and can overhaul them potentially or do we just hope Barrow stay at arms length. Similar dilemma with Grimsby and Colchester tomorrow especially as we play Col U next weeks.

You want Walsall and Col U surely?

Only want to worry about the bottom teams.

We're 6 points behind you though which, with our GD, is 3 games. Gives us 9 games before it's do or die.

I expect Barrow will win tonight and against Colchester. Our next 4 games will likely decide our season. Could be relegated by Colchester. The horror

Not even a question. We’re all Walsall tonight.

Can’t say as I have much confidence in them though. They’ve not had a good time of it either since DC left them.

Carlisle away. We threw away the game in Tues but I trust this lot to bounce back, optimistic 2-0.

Happy with our performance so far, limiting Walsall to one (barely) half chance. Should have been a goal up in the first five minutes.

We'll have more chances, I'm sure, but I'm worried we'll waste them.

Walsall could get sucked in here. They appear to have zero ambition
