Agree with you to an extent re: Hill. He seems to of destroyed CBT from being a confident promising prospect to a disillusioned shadow of his former self. Kieron Morris, another who can get and set up goals has been relegated to bit parts.

Keith Hill’s record at Tranmere in all comps-

W D L
18. 9 9

It would be the first time we sacked a manager with stats like these.

I am a confident person........never arrogant in life
Football is a escape and what these last few years have taught me is that is now way down my priority list

Football is a sport......you win draw or lose

life goes on
I hear you. Football has been a fantastic escape this winter but your posts have been arrogant, especially since Jan. Your team have been fantastic since your January business and you were top of the league this morning by your arrogant posts. Bloody tinpot league can find you out when you’re least expecting it.

no its all bollocks......It is a tinpot league
Pitches that are sub standard.....Owners that sack managers willy nilly.....Players put on furlough and yet the team still has a squad approaching 30
Grounds that have no roofs on stands
its 2021 not 1951

Cambridge and Cheltenham deserve to go up....Yes and maybe even Morecambe
In all honesty i would not mind another season in lge 2. Loads of local derbies grounds new to me.
Winning week in week out
That is not arrogance it is fact..............We have the biggest budget, first pick of out of contract players
facilities etc

The reason FGR and Newport fell away was they lost sold players........Teams like Bolton have not done that this year, but we did it most years in the higher leagues

Bolton had their pick of players with the biggest budget but got their recruitment horribly wrong in the summer. I think it will do you good to spend another year in league two.

That’s also a dangerous game because it’s a difficult league to get out of in normal circumstances. Just ask Portsmouth who are a much bigger club than Bolton and probably with a bigger budget than you too. You’ve got a huge week coming up and for what it’s worth I’d like Bolton in league one next season if we go up. Just don’t count your chickens on here before a game as this league is so unpredictable.

Our position is very strong now but there is no way I would post saying we are going up or going up as champions. So many twists and turns to go. Orient away on Tuesday is very tough.

Can i ask if you are trying to get a reaction.....in what way are Portsmouth a bigger club?
We have a massive week coming up you are correct.
If we lose them both we are in a better position than last summer so its not all gloom and doom
The players under contract for next season will take some stopping in this league.....its not arrogance its fact
Our recruitment last summer was dire and wont be repeated this Summer because Evatt now has the final say

nope its his view......i dont agree but to be honest i could not care less
Portsmouth give us great advice when in administration would not say a bad word against them.
likewise Everton and Preston fans who donated to the club when in need.

Portsmouth are a bigger club then Bolton every day of the week and twice on a Sunday. They can fill their stadium for one.

Those stats include the Mickey Mouse Trophy games though don't they ? In the League his record is W13, D9, L7. On the face of it those statistics are impressive, but he inherited a very talented squad with a lot of players that are better than this level. I reckon Gary Brabin's stats were fairly similar to be honest.

I think we also have to consider the context. The most crucial phase of any season is the run-in, and we have failed to rise to the challenge quite spectacularly. It is now one victory in the last nine games, and that win was fairly fortunate as we were awarded two penalties against Exeter.

The loss of Vaughan to injury was obviously a major blow, but I think his tactical response has been inadequate. The problems have also been exacerbated by his January transfer business which was poor, allowing three strikers to leave and replacing them with David Nugent.

I have just lost a lot of confidence in him over the last couple of months.

Feels like it's been a while since we were in L2, although it hasn't been that long.

Shame about Grimsby going down, would have liked to play them again, had a great time up there in NL and huge respect for their fan base after the play off final that season.

Any chance of staying up?
No!

Yeah, Matete has been quality since coming in. Whoever has him next season has got a bit of a gem.

He was the best player against us, and exactly the player we need in midfield - presumably Fleetwood will extend his contract? Normally I'd think we would stand a good chance of signing Fleetwood loanee, but David Dunn is now their assistant...

Welcome to league 2 gassy. I've been posting on here for a while now. It's a bit busier than the league 1 forum.

Don’t think Palios will pull the trigger unless we drop out of the play offs.

We have a stand out player in Wes Burns on the wing, easily the best player in the team. He is out of contract come season end and no one knows if he will stay with us. In which case Matete will be more than welcomed back with open arms. Delighted he is prospering at Grimsby, knocking a few edges off him eh !

That may be true (it's not on most countbacks) , but ask yourself this would they attract 20k plus if situated 12m miles from 3 of the biggest clubs in Europe? we sold 8k season tickets knowing that fans would be unlikely to go to matches this after consecutive relegations and administration, this was more than Blackburn in the championship, you need to look at the number of clubs in the North West then look at the catchment area for Portsmouth before you can even start talking about size of clubs, Pompey average 17k or 18k in league one, We would achieve similar, i saw Bolton play Blackburn back in the old third division with 32k despite 15? other league clubs in the North West. Your spouting crap.
