He used to do an ad for Scots Porridge Oats in his kilt before he lost his hair. Can't get more Scottish than that.It had its moments but still think this series has been poor compared with the earlier ones.
I never realised the Hound was Scottish before this episode though so things have moved on.
Great episode.
And I'm so glad that cnut Bolton is dead. And what a way to kill him.
Clive Russell. Sorry to break it to you but he's English. He also looks like Russ Abbot. The guy that played Blackfish as well is Scottish but I noticed they dubbed him at times
anyone know when they are killing off Cersei. What an annoying predictable cow she is
Jaime will kill her like he did with the last mad monarch
I like the sound of that and it's quite poetic if it does happen and the quicker the better. I find myself skipping past all her scenes and the blonde dragon bint as well (really since season two with her) as it's just utter soap opera tedium.
Mind you the whole season felt that way. It has generated into farce now and the quicker it finally resolves into a sort of conclusion in the final two seasons, the better.
Jon and blondie get it on and have the most beautiful kids ever and Jaime teams up with his brother to kill Cersei. A dragon is kicked out of Westeros for being too "foreign" and Sam realises he's wasted 5 years of his life aimlessly wandering around and sets up a cult.
Who knows. Will probably be in a Norfolk accent though. Will they call her aunty-mum or him cousin-dad?
So many "FUCK YEAH" moments in that episode.
think this might have been the best season tbh, it was very fan service-y but in a good way.
I know what you mean. I was a bit gutted they killed off Margaery and a couple of the others but at the end of the day we just have to trust that B+W know what they're doing. I'm sure GRRM will have had a lot of input this season too despite saying he wouldn't.Do you not think the fuck yeah moments and fanservice leave you feeling empty after a cooling period, though. For example, I was gripped by the Wildfire sequence and the Robb Stark Appreciation Society biggin' up the Jon Massiv, but one is a plot device that destroys a lot of themes and character development that the show has tried to cultivate for nearly two seasons, while the other is an uncritical celebration of character that shouldn't really exist in those exulted terms anymore... I mean, Jon is not the same person as he was two seasons ago and I think it's a little bit of crap writing to draw explicit comparisons between his rise to Lord Commander and the lords nominating him for king/warden of the north. I mean, his task is grimdark and thankless, he isn't fighting for glory.
This is the biggest difference between the books and the show imo. I mean, the books are not highbrow lit or anything but they are literary: that aforementioned dev of character and theme is obvs important to Martin and does it to imbue the story with meaning. In the show, a lot of that is disregarded or else half heartedly followed in lieu of big showy scenes that are impressive in isolation but don't seem to tally with what came before or comes after.
I occasionally watch the ozzy man reviews
...and still find a way to get her boobs out.Melisandre will just ride along and find herself a nice place to open up a sandwich shop
