The Ed Sheeran is a bit cringey but nice to see Thomas Turgoose amongst it.

The talentless ginger bastard is everywhere.

Solid first episode though. Great opening scene and loved the final line.

This is shite now - just want to see how it ends. The Lannister soldiers with Arya scene was a joke and for a show tumbling towards it's conclusion the episodes move along at a glacial pace - bored of the idea that we have 2 months of build up before you get the good penultimate episode - they need to knock that trend on the head

Hot take - Vikings is better.

I thought it moved quite briskly for a season première.

I will not dignify that Vikings comment with a response.

(except this one)

I'd agree seasons openers usually just recap the last season and start to introduce stuff, this one progressed things from the off. As for the Lannister soldiers scene I thought it was actually pretty good, the camera snapping to their weapons and Arya's attempted insistence about not eating their food etc (after her speech to the Frey's about inviting the Starks into their home and killing them) hinting that she was going to kill them so moral dilemma thrown in. Previous seasons too have had plenty of very good episodes before the penultimate episode so its not like that's all they do.

Was what I expected. Setting the scene of where everyone is at, though I wasn't expecting the Freys death scene. Pretty obvious now that there's going to be some conflict/betrayal between Sansa and Jon. Other than that, it doesn't really tell you much about when or where the first fight is going to be!

"Why are you always in such a foul mood?"

Clegane gets it. One of the best characters in this show.

Good episode, opening scene was great, everyone is now where they need to be, set up nicely for the rest of the season. The Ed Sheeran scene was awkward, and if that was Gilly's son we saw then the free folk grow at an alarming rate, kid looked 3 or 4 years old. Other than that I thought it was nicely done.

That sounds about right, seeing as he was born in season 3/book 3.

It was good because it showed Lannister soldiers as human beings for once instead of evil monsters, just men who would rather be back home and likely are going to go die for Cersei's ambitions, it was a change of pace.

I'm pretty sure it's the same kid from last season.

Fucking Ed Sheeran can he not just fuck off? People are getting sick of him having to be on everything now. "It's a new one" yeah just selling your shit in Game Of Thrones now you fucking BASTARD TWAT. He was so out of place and it was the corniest scene ever done in this show and it's funny how as soon as he is in it as a Lannister guard they are all nice and friendly, could he not of been a baddy? So we would at least maybe get to see him brutally killed and have his fucking annoying face smashed in.

The show runner said that they brought him in just as a nice surprise to the girl who plays Arya who is a big fan. Right so now they don't give a shit about the quality of the show and will now pull off shitty stunts like this just to please little girls? FUCK OFF.

I didn't even know who the fuck he was until recently when he started having something like 40 singles in the top 40 every week. The fucking hooray Henry c***.

Euron is developing into a personal favourite character. Enjoyed Sam and Jorah's interactions too, albeit a touch disgusting.

The Arya scene was deeply uncomfortable... just... the acting seemed very off and weird. Almost like she couldn't be arsed to be there.

Arya's scenes have been the low points of both episodes (says a lot when you've got tubby Sam still getting as much screen time as he is), can't work out if she's a shite actress or something.

Euron is the boy, hope he wins. Better episode anyway - wasn't expecting a battle like that so early in the season. They're going to be killing supporting characters off at an alarming rate aren't they.
