There's a guy on youtube who's pretty good at explaining plotlines and the like. It's a bit....American....but you do understand what's going on a bit more through him. He's done loads of other videos based around the backstories of a lot of characters, regions, religions etc - pretty much everything.

It's worth a try if you're a little bit lost

They're some one of my favourite character chapters in the ASOIAF series, never mind ADWD, and I think they have done a sterling job with the adaptation in terms of design, tone and direction (clean, simple art design, that House of B&W theme is a suitably brooding leitmotif, understated performances) but they just don't deserve focus equal to the goings-on in Westeros. I guess the rationale is that they help moderate the pacing of each episode by offering a sort of 'quiet time' to punctuate the more action-y stuff, but Danaerys scenes more or less consistently offer that already.

You know what? I actually watched Team America for the first time ever the day before watching that episode and as a result that song was the first thing that came to mind with it. I've gone all week telling everybody that, after her story being pretty slow and dull for a while, they've finally used the power of the montage to get her up to scratch... seeing somebody actually make that video is perfect!

I think it's simply that a lot of things happened that people have been hoping would do. Simple as that. I thought it was a solid 8/10 myself.

nope, tabloids took an interview out of context.

thought it was another good episode, with some canny moments. the 3 sisters telling their brothers to stop being whiny bitches, tormund eye fucking brienne and the dany stuff obviously. not sure why everyone is losing their shit over this particular episode mind.

I think it's simply that a lot of things happened that people have been hoping would do. Simple as that. I thought it was a solid 8/10 myself.

With the comments in here, I was expecting something spectacular. Not a great deal happened other than the ending. It was alright, nothing more really.

I'd disagree slightly. A few big plot points have been set up - Highgarden vs Faith Militant, the knights of the Vale mobilising, the whole pink letter scenario at Castle Black and of course the ending.

- Littlefinger manipulates Robin into sending the Knights of the Vale into the fray (Frey?!?) Leading up to something happening. He could change his mind next week.
- Tyrion strikes a deal with the masters. I'm not sure a deal was made was it? Even so, so what?
- Beardy finds out that Friend Zone has greyscale. I'm not sure what difference this makes to anything.
- Cersei, Jamie, Kevan (Kevin? Haha) and the Queen of Thorns agree to fuck up the High Sparrow. Again, talk about something that may or may not happen in the future.
- The Pycelle grin. No idea what this is.
- Theon returns to Pyke to back his sister as ruler. A shell of a man denounces his claim to a throne. Hardly groundbreaking.
- Osha get's Ramsey'd. Minor character gets killed.
- Tormund has focked a bear and now wants to fock the maiden fair. Meh.
- Jon and Sansa plot to take BACK THE FUCKING NORTH. Admittedly, a major development.
- Dany uses the power of fiery boobs to kill all the Khals and take the entire Dothraki horde(s)! I agreed about this.

It's all building up to things happening but I think those that have read the books are reading more in to these things than is apparent.

Decent episode but nothing fantastic in my view.

One shared knowing glance later and I think it's entirely possible that the Umbers and Sansa have planted Rickon there on purpose as the start of a plot.

Hard to believe Sansa would willingly hand over Rickon to someone like Ramsey. The only way I could even believe the Umbers are involved is if the plan was either for Osha to kill Ramsey, or if they don't care about the Starks at all and just want rid of Ramsey.

Doubt that, like EG said, I doubt she'd be mad enough to use her brother as bait when Ramsey is a mental sadistic bastard. More like she knows he wouldnt try and taunt them into surrender unless he had that particular carrot to dangle. She knows he's there and knows exactly what he will do to him if they dont fight.

I take your points, but at the same time I don't think Ramsey (nutcase as he is) would actually kill Rickon. He knows the value of having a Stark in Winterfell.
