When exactly did the Tories last win an election?

Seems to me all they're doing is creating a dysfunctional torn country

The Labour/Tory North/South divide.

Can't we just breakaway?

Christ. Tories made a fist of Tooting.

This really is depressing.

Hmm, Tooting's an interesting seat. Khan rather held it against all odds last time, but given Labour's relatively strong performance in London, that's an underwhelming looking result.

Can't see Scotland leaving any time soon with the collapse of the oil market since the referendum..

The oil market is beginning to bounce back and it was not a crisis that people like to believe it was. If we could vote again on Independence tomorrow, we'd leave, but unfortunately there were too many cowards when it came to the crunch and it looks like we along with Northern England will be the ones suffering again, whilst South East England bathes in their champagne and smoked salmon lunches and get richer whilst the rest of us struggle.

Fuck me, my mate made the right move three years ago by getting the fuck out to Oz - wish I could join him currently.

Reminds me of him describing the count in Bethnal Green and Bow as being conducted in a fashion befitting a banana republic
I'd imagine he'd quite enjoy living in a banana republic .

The age of oil is slowly coming to an end, any new national economy being backed by oil now is looking for disaster whether or not Salmond overvalued the oil that Scotland actually had (which he did). It's too unstable a market, particularly with what has been going on in the middle east, Russia, the lack of understanding of how much oil the North Sea actually has, the onset of fracking and the increased viability of alternative energy. Honestly, I know it doesn't fit in with the nationalism line, but I think Scotland really dodged a bullet. Maybe years down the line when their economy is more diversified, but not now.

Pleased Durkan easily held Foyle. Sinn Fein have been talking up their chances of taking it for years. Never made significant headway. Hume's legacy.

I'm stunned how Tory Crewe and Nantwich has become. Yes Nantwich is the quintessential Tory town but its sad to see Crewe's current state.

Simon Hughes, Danny Alexander and most sadly Charles Kennedy all set to lose their seats. Wow.

Labour failed miserably in Nuneaton. FFS.

Tories on for a majority at this rate.

I agree that we have to start being less reliant on oil. There is tremendous potential in greener energy programmes up here and we need to start looking into those seriously imo.
