That Siewert won’t last three months. Derby looking good for their annual playoff bottlejob.

That second Lawrence goal was outrageous

The first was nice too but slightly overshadowed by the defenders role and the goalkeepers header

No goalscorer at all in that Huddersfield side, every attacker coming on hasn't scored in years. Derby worked hard second half without creating anything but a great 3 points for them to kick off the season.

Grant scored 14 by January for Charlton last season then 4 more in 13 games for one of the worst PL teams ever. But other than that yes you're right.

Really disappointed and fearing the worst tbh. We needed a good start to get rid of this losing mentality and the fixture list wasn't kind to us at all. Could easily lose our first 4 games.

Ha, we're always so crap on the opening day when we're away, Millwall sounded well up for it.

First game of the season and another Rudd fuck up, gets both hands to the shot and it still goes in.

Still need a new keeper and further strengthening in the attacking department.

Lol.

Grayson would snap Rudd up like a shot as he'd be your best player by some distance.

Hopefully we can do him a favour and sort out a deal.

Can't say I have a clue about your team. I know you have David Nugent then wouldn't have a clue. Not interested.

I know you've lost your best player by a distance.

Pearson is still here.

We've lost our best attacker, i'll wait till the window closes before kicking off about it.

Is Nugent worth the money? Isn't that a bit against transfer policy in recent times?

I think its a pointless signing and don't see how he gets a look in.

No bastard coming in so might as well do this now.

Wigan will be a much tougher test than last season when Nmecha & Robinson ran them all over, unless Green is class then i'm struggling to see how Neil can continue with his usual system.

Hopefully Rudd dies pre-match.

Team i'd pick:

Ripley
Fisher, Bauer, Davies, Hughes
Pearson, Bayliss
Bodin, Browne, Green
Maguire

Rudd, Clarke, Johnson, Gallagher, Potts, Barkhuizen, Stockley

Still a good eleven but we badly need Maguire to re-find his form and score on a regular basis.

Barnsley at home for us, usually a guaranteed 3 points but they seem a different beast under Stendl, was very impressed with them last season and against Fulham last week. Newly promoted sides tend to come up with a bit of a bounce so hoping we can put in a performance like last week and bring them down to earth. Despite 4 new signings since last Saturday I expect the only change to be Dawson coming in for the suspended Westwood.

Dawson

Odubajo
Borner
Lees
Palmer

Bannan
Hutchinson
Lee

Harris
Fletcher
Reach

Subs- Jones, Bates, Fox, Luongo, Murphy, Rhodes, Nuhiu

Wednesday 1-1 Barnsley
Fletcher 25'
Woodrow 74'

We'll get smashed up at West Brom, and then again a few days later.

Birmingham away tomorrow. I was quite confident a couple of days ago when it looked like Nketiah was through the door and we’d have 48 hours to sign a centre half to replace Webster but alas….

Pack’s going to be a big loss, huge gamble to bank on Nagy/Massengo to come in and hit the ground running immediately, despite what they may have cost.

Bentley
Hunt Webster Baker DaSilva
Nagy
Eliasson Brownhill Szmodics O’Dowda
Diedhiou

2-1 Brum. (Jutkiewicz 12’, Maghoma 40’) (Diedhiou 56’)

I'm in great spirits about the way our season is going to go right now but we're getting nothing at Hillsborough tomorrow.

Looking forward to our game with Huddersfield. I think we'll do okay and get a hard fought win.

Looking forward to tomorrow, should be a great weekend. Could see us getting a bit of a tonking if we play as open as we did a week ago against Boro. Can definitely see us playing 2 different styles this season depending on opponent and if we are away or at home.

Probably a bit early for the new signings to come in but may have too if we want to look defensivley more solid with Cranie moving across to the DM spot and Bree coming in at right back. Who drops out of the midfield is then then the question. Would rather Pelly did not play that role as its a bit of a waste of him and he just doesnt look comfortable there, especially receiving the ball off the back 4 if there is a high press.

Getting a first away point of the season would be a great result here.

We've not won back to back league games at the start of the season since August 96

Boro away is usually a tough fixture for us, would be pretty happy with a draw. Reckon Ollie will get the nod up front again, and we’ll bring Mbuemo into the side. Benrahma and Norgaard would come into the team but not quite fit enough yet.

Raya
Jeanvier Jansson Pinnock
Dalsgaard Jensen Dasilva Henry
Mbuemo Watkins Canos

Subs: Daniels, Clarke, Johnson, Norgaard, Marcondes, Valencia, Forss

Same team that beat Huddersfield on Monday for us I imagine, still sounds like it's too early for Bielik to be involved which is a shame.

Not sure what to expect from Swansea.

Out in Leeds this aft, hopefully bump into a few distraught red dog mates afterwards.

Bielsa's bucket
cautiously optimistic for this game today, last season at home we peppered their goal for 85 minutes after their only attack from a corner went in, and somehow scored with a controversial goal haha

gonna say this time we do the same but win fairly and comfortably 3-1
