Whatever happens going to be a great occasion again - only 1 point in 2 games but loving every minute of this season so far (well apart from the 96th at Cardiff). WBA only snuck a win against us last year and I think Jonesy will have a point to prove against them.
Amazing occasion

Surprised he lasted till the start of this season!

New chairman probably wants his own man.

I can’t really see them troubling the top half based on that although if it all goes to shit im sure they’ll spend parachute money in January.

Fulham have a squad to make any team in this division look average. Not many will turn them over....

Reading should be really fancying their chances with Andy Davies in charge, astonished he's been allowed to referee that one.

1-1 v Hull, more points dropped at home, we probably deserved to win but had a bit of an off day, and as usual with us Hull took their chance well (didn’t create much else, lots of shots from distance, but did hit the post late on). Could easily be sitting on 9 points but 4 isn’t a terrible start.

Grosicki and Bowen were really good but fucking hell the rest of that Hull team is awful.

Fucking hell we really clung on there. Romeo and Bart are boss. Looks like we might do alright this season.

Unlucky us. Defence needs some work but I’m confident they’ll come good when they’ve had time to gel. I was just spoilt last season with regards to hardly seeing us concede.

Think there is likely to be quite a few games like that this season. Played well, looked well in the game and probably on balance deserved our lead. As soon as the second half started though individual quality of West Brom began to show more than anything, got an equaliser off a fairly speculative shot when it looked like danger had been snubbed out and suddenly from looking comfortable in the game we are well up against it.

Bit unfortunate for the winner off a deflection but again just individual quality of opposition players against ours telling a little bit. After that 5 min spell was back to what had gone before and we looked threatening again but just didn’t quite have enough to get an equaliser.

Feels like we will be saying “we played well, but...” after a lot of games this season!

Brown looked quality once again when he came on and Butterfield looked decent once again after a solid display at Cardiff. But in Diangana West Brom had a player who could pull a win out of basically nothing for them whereas we had a lot of guts, effort and determination but perhaps not quite that level of quality required.

I’d put money on them to go down, though there is a long way to go.

That is what Championship football is all about.

We need to learn quickly, but when you’re up against PL players it’s never easy. WBA I’m sure will be top 4, but twice in 2 games we’ve come out of the dressing room asleep.

Haha did you fuck. I don’t think you didn’t deserve a point just thought we’d done enough up until the penalty, which I’ve just watched the replay of and it was soft as fuck but to be fair if we’d have got it I’d be laughing my bollocks off so fair play. When ref blew we were all wondering what the fuck for and we’ve got a great view where I’m sat.

Charlton fans were good by the way. Quite loud for the most part.

We've actually played a lot worse than we have today and won games in the past so not going to be overly critical, playing against 10 men for the entire second half you at least want to be coming away with a point so it's disappointing we haven't taken the numerous chances we've created, in past seasons we wouldn't have created much in games like this so that's a positive. Sloppy to lose the game from a set piece to their main aerial goal threat, but we wont be the last team who comes unstuck at the Den this season, good chance to bounce back on Tuesday at home to Luton where hopefully we'll have Bannan back in the side.

If it makes the new fellas feel better,we were dreadful but still won 2-0.
We did warn you about this league, it's brutal, welcome to the Championship! It's a higher standard and the smallest mistake generally gets punished. By the same token, you have to take your opportunities when you get them.
You'll get used to it.

This is pretty much how the start of our second half yesterday went.

This league is bloody difficult, because in my opinion we’re definitely a far better team than last year, apart from the two full backs. The gulf between here and L1 is humungous now.

In fairness you've played 3 of the fancied teams, wouldn't be too disheartened it's the games against the teams 12th downwards that will determine if you survive or not.
