I know it's still early but fuck me Ben white is an awesome defender

Rolls Royce style defender on the ball I was so worried he wouldn't be good enough

Might need to see him against actual good teams though signs look good

Shithouse FC with probably the best performance I’ve seen in the last 4 seasons at Fulham

Lamouchi is an absolute genius

Disgraceful performance from us. Utterly abysmal. All 3 Luton goals came from the ball dropping to their player, totally unmarked, to slot in. They completely took their foot off second half and even then we only managed a solitary goal.

We are seriously buggered and it's all down, yet again, to selling our established players and replacing them with kids who have no Championship experience. Every game since the Fulham win (Christ knows how we won that) we've misplaced a stupid number of passes and gifted the opposition goals.

Can't really comment on Luton much as they barely had to break a sweat to win, they look well drilled and capable enough. I did note that one goalscorer has significant championship experience (Butterfield) and another was their established top scorer Collins - we have no experience and sold our top scorer because he "couldn't be guaranteed games".

"Best transfer window in the club's history". Fuck off Conway you stupid Yank.

We have had an emphasis on bringing players with “championship experience” In.

You lot have seemed to go the other way. I think youll come good though and it’s still in the air for us if that was the right move. I think longer term bringing in younger players with potential is probably a better move. Plenty of talent in your squad. I’d have loved us to go after Wilks for instance.

It’s not just talent or experience for me. For large parts of the game (and indeed against Charlton and Brum) there was just no effort. They either can’t be arsed or they’re unable to play the way Stendel wants them to and it’s clear to see. Also they need to be less greedy, Mallik Wilks in particular could have set a couple of good chances up had he not gone for goal himself. It’s still early days but that is two really bad performances on the trot, and I mean fucking bad.

Like you say it’s hard to believe this is the same team that played against Fulham, it really was a false dawn of the worst kind that.

We still have a couple of key player missing and I have no doubt the talent is there but the question is are they going to be able to gel properly and is Stendel going to be able to adapt his tactics before we really are in the shit. I really don’t know, but I’m nowhere near as optimistic as I was a couple of weeks ago.

You may be right but I fear we'll be relegated by the time the young players "come good". Then we'll have a good season in league 1, come back up and sell those players again, replacing them with more young inexperienced lads. Repeat ad nauseum.

Good win that today. I thought we were comfortable for the first 75 minutes until Nuhiu came on and they put us under a lot of pressure, he always causes us problems and we concede from another cross.

Overall I thought Wednesday looked a poor side with little about them apart from sitting behind the ball and lumping it to the big lad up top for the last 15 minutes.

Good keeper is Westwood, would love to feel as comfortable as he must make you lot feel. I was convinced Rudd was going to flap at something when you kept putting the ball into the box.

Fair play to Preston deserved winners in the end, annoyed that Odubajo has given away 2 stupid penalties but we didn't turn up until the last 20 minutes when Reach and Nuhiu were thrown on. Iorfa has to come back in next week for Odubajo, the blokes costing us a goal every game he plays at the moment.

Not expecting us to be in the top 6 this season especially with the managerial situation, needs sorting out fairly soon and after the international break at the latest, hoping we take a punt on Alex Neil but don't think we can really go throwing much compensation at anyone right now.

To the Bees fans that said Dan Bentley had lost it, he must have got it back as he's been really good for us so far. Maybe the move was just what he needed. Same with Afobe TBH.
Lots of new players and we're doing alright although injuries are becoming an issue.

He's on about Music from Man City. Looking like we might have dodged a bullet there.
