Utterly toothless in that second half, obviously penalty decision was a joke but hard to argue with the result as Wrexham did make one proper chance in the first half and took it.

Like I mentioned before the first goal it was all very comfortable but without creating much, just not our day today, few below par performances.

Wrexham were not great by any means but did defend really well and played apart in our lack of offensive threat, first away game we have not scored. Monday is massive now.

Not sure I've seen a more direct game than ours vs Gillingham. I don't think either team put more than about 3 passes together one after another all game. Neither keeper particularly troubled all game. Dieing with one early on for them and Nevitt for us in 2nd half about as close as either team came. As long as we beat FGR though on Monday it will be a decent result overall.

Swindon entirely beatable and utterly moderate but by crikey we're beyond redemption. Can't defend, painfully slow build up, don't test keepers anywhere near enough and now they're shot to bite with absolutely no confidence. And Slocombe just needs to be replaced once and for all.

Bit of a rocky start to 2nd half, Salford got a leveller, but once we went ahead very comfortable until last couple of mins. Defensively pretty strong. Salford very one dimensional - good practice for the National League if we drop as expected. Once Smith goes there you wonder if they’ll be better off as a team (I know I know he has scored bundles).

Can you imagine this lot in League One next season? Definitely be breaking records
Never a dull moment, at least

Can you keep it up in about 3 weeks' time?

There you go the draw I thought might happen. Worst red card I've seen for a while. Abysmal decision which cost us when we were getting on top. Overall didn't really deserve to win though. It seems no one wants that last playoff spot. Or should I say no one deserves it.

Yeah the challenge was definitely outside the box. Bit of luck, difficult for the referee to see in real time to be fair.

Would be interested in seeing a few more replays of our goal that was ruled out a few minutes earlier too. They only showed it like once back on Sky but looked like your keeper had possibly lost possession of the ball before DKD took it away from him?

No doubt he had two hands on it initially but not sure it was kicked out of his hands. Looked like he might have just let it get away from him again. Fucking frustrating five minutes seeing that and then the penalty awarded for a foul outside the box. Cheers ref.

Ended 0-2 here should have been 0-4.

Our keeper threw the ball to their attacker who completely missed (needs shooting for that...both of them). The second goal was our defender letting the ball go over his head and the keeper letting an attacker get to the ball before him

Well deserved win for Donny. Plenty of complaints but not about the result on the day.

We need to release a best-selling compilation of some of the goals we’ve conceded this season.
I'm just sick to death of the pathetic goals we concede every week.
Maynard isn't turning this round so we need to face up to it and sack him. Slocombe is a sound bloke but Ashby Hammond should never have been dropped for him after the Bradford win.

To be fair to the ref I think he got that one right. Okonkwo had both hands on the ball and DKD kicked it out of his hands. In real time I thought it looked a legit goal tbf so he could easily have given it.

For the 'Pen' no idea why the lino didn't say something? unlike the ref he should have had a decent view of it.

We definitely got the rub of the green today. On another day that game has 0-0 all over it.

Comfortable win in the end against a limited Grimsby. I think with a bit more intent in the second half we could've been out of sight sooner, but getting the job is all that matters at this stage of the season.

Even game until we went ahead. Both sides had good chances they should've scored but once we got the opener, Tranmere were out of the game and we should've scored more.

A good win for Sutton away at Salford. Barring a nervous couple of moments at the very end, Salford were kept quiet after our second.

Unfortunately I’ve developed hope again

Fair assesment overall mate. Another day a 0-0 like you say aye, with our defender not whiffing a clearance on the ball across that Mullin opened the scoring with.

Re. our 'goal' yeah, not seen any conclusive replay either way (and maybe we won't now) so you might be right.

But agree with Conker an all that we never threatened. We never looked like winning but that doesn't mean it wasn't an annoying one to lose with the way it happened.

Enjoy your victory and evening.

Think the game changed as early as the 2bd minute with mcleans challenge, looked a pretty sickening challenge from here.

Thought we threatened first half but never really got a shot away and the goal came out of the blue.

The penalty though is just utter quality  , i mean what form of competent ref/assistant thinks that’s a penalty, christ alive.

not the best set of results today,‘let’s say.

Think you had 76% possession, too. Didn’t do too much with it, mind. Maybe a couple of fluffed chances. Very similar to how we used to play. Now we’ve reverted to basic, bollicky-buff shite.

That would have been an absolute travesty if we hadn't won today, let alone nearly losing to a side that were playing for a 0-0 from the very first whistle. Disappointed in Newport given that they were still in with a fair shot at the play-offs, they had no ambition whatsoever and offered nothing at all other than trying to kill the game.

Yet again we gifted a goal away with another defensive mix up after we ought to have been in front and it was becoming one of those days. So, so nice to finally get a late winner though, and a particularly huge relief with the Sutton result too.

Fair play......you lot deserve to still have hope, many a team would have mentally checked out a couple of weeks ago being in your predicament....now it’s a reality of survival, albeit tough.

Very easy 3-1 win against Grimsby who only scored near the end. Win on Monday and a few teams above will be starting to get nervous if they don't win.

It was in front of me, haven't seen it back yet but I thought Okonkwo had fucked it up and nobody around us was complaining when it went in the net.

I was disappointed in Mansfield, I'd heard they were a passing side who yOu ShOuLdNt AtTaCk but couldn't really see much of it. Nigel Pulis seems to have assembled an enormous side, biggest team since Borehamwood to visit the Racecourse. If they had a Mullin up top they'd be champions already really as they had nobody there and DKD went missing.

If only MK Dons would fuck off.

Jeez, that was bad, no bite, no fight...just nothingness...to be fair to Stockport, they actually look a decent team, moved the ball around nicely and their first goal was an absolute banger...but where was our team, we need to win games, but no goals in three games and apparently only two shots...we are going down!
