Hmmm, Meadow Lane is a great ground to play counter attacking football because the pitch is big.

Notts are still getting an identity but basically we will be organised and try and get it forward quickly, but not necessarily hoofing it. Should be a good game, disappointing I can't make this one
What is shithouses football? I can only think its what we used to play when Mike Lyons and Mike Newell were managers.
I think we are a tika taka % football combo...

So what kind of side are Grimsby?

Shithouses? Tiki Taka? % football? Hurstball?
We seem to look brilliant going forward most of the time, but have a few really dodgy moments at the back each game too so stick the mortgage on both teams to score in this one as we bizarrely seem to be adopting an all out attack policy at the minute, which is in total contrast to how Hursts teams used to set up in the Conference especially away games where we were the kings of the 1 - 0
away win!

I'm looking forward to going to watch us tomorrow for the first time in forever, so expect a routine 3-0 away win.

For those not aware this game is apparently live on beIN Sports 11 if people are interested in streaming it.

Well that was a good game of football for the neutral at least. Poor Notts defending for our goals, and I thought we had turned around our defensive woes until the final 15 mins at least. Pearson was excellent and probably MoM up till that point and Mckeown pulled off some great saves.

Couldn't handle Oliver when he came on though, and as soon as the first went in we fell to pieces. Draw probably a fair result but we certainly threw it away being 2-0 up.

Still don't know what the penalty was given for even after several replays and the commentators were confused too so think justice was served when he missed it.

Momentum is a funny thing. We were awful for 75 minutes and outplayed in every department. Then we sent Oliver on and he went on the fucking rampage, pulled it back virtually on his own. In the end we'd probably have won it with a few more minutes.

Great numbers and noise from Grimsby but fucking hell they ain't half got some dickheads following them.

Feels crappy now chucking away a 2 - 0 but in the grand scheme of things a draw at Notts County is never a bad result, even though it feels like it at the minute.

Of course, we've been pretty bad ourselves over the last few months, but numbers wise it's pretty impressive. And someone hit me with a fucking tree out of nowhere.

I could say we were robbed but we weren't. Fell to pieces when Stead and Campbell (wtf is he supposed to be) went off. Both teams were poor at the back but we just couldn't handle Oliver. Thank god the penalty was missed.

Scott Vernon is an embarrassing footballer.

Well that's Oliver done for the season if he 'went on the rampage' because he's usually bang average.

He'd not done anything before today but the guy was incredible when he came on.

Usual early season flakiness from us. Would have taken that at the start though. Still not convinced about Summerfield - would like central midfielders to pass to our own players most of the time.

Notts nice passing but little penetration until we sat off them. Don't understand what the missed pen was for. Must be like a morgue their with an empty away end.

I've seen the highlights and it's a definite penalty for me, the shirt pull before Andrew falls on him is just plain stupid.

It's always nice to see newly promoted teams get all giddy and excited, can't blame them after spending so long in the conference.
