I thought Bogle was fantastic fwiw. Laing and Duffy should be a pretty good partnership for this league at centre back but he had the number of both, definitely for the first hour. He does seem to foul someone every time the ball comes near him, but I guess that doesn't really matter when you're always going to get away with it most of the time.

I think it's harsh to say you threw away two points as well. It was one of those situations where i'm not really sure there was much you could do. We'd got into a position where there was nothing to lose, made three changes and two of them happened to come on and play really well. When momentum swings like that there's not really a lot you can do about it. Both goals were well worked rather than down to defensive errors too, I think, but I guess you're always more likely to focus on what your own team has done.

Notts second was well worked - best goal of the game and no fault with the defence, needed a midfielder to pick up the young lad on the edge of the box and get a block in. Equaliser was deserved. I've no complaints and would have taken 2-2 at the start. We are work in progress...

Yeah true, like you said in your opening sentence further up; momentum is a funny thing. Just frustrating that we would have more than likely seen that game out (away from Blundell Park at least) and taken 3 points at any point over the last 2 or 3 season. I guess that's one of the perils of promotion, though. As previously said (unless that was in my post that went missing) you hammered us when you went gung-ho so I have no qualms about actually dropping the points. It's just obviously annoying.

Bogle is definitely adjusting well. Hurst's desperation to downplay his value/performances is almost as admirable, though.
