I'd love Mourinho at United after van Gaal

I used to share that view, but looking at his current meltdown and what seems to be his inability remedy the situation I've begun to think otherwise. The short term success would be pretty much guaranteed, but when things get difficult I couldn't stomach his shameless finger pointing and falling out with staff. Once players stop buying into his shit, the shit hits the fan.

So likelihood is that he'll not even be in charge of the game he gets sacked after?

Anyone who looks at the table provided (a table I presume you still haven't looked at judging by your posts) will see you have proven no one wrong. But ignore the facts if you like, whilst pretending big clubs regularly only filled a third of their ground in the 80s. It certainly couldn't be applied to Liverpool like you claim, check your facts.

Your table is a snapshot to try and score points when you full well know you've been proved wrong yet again. Please explain the following attendances at Anfield in the 1980's ( your most successful period) 24k , 23k, 20k , 22k ??????all home league games and there are plenty more...:fl:

FACT - Chelsea have had the highest average attendance more times than every club bar 4 Man Utd, Everton, Newcastle and Arsenal everyone of those highest attendances were pre Roman Abramovic.

What have you become? I used to look forward to moderately witty retorts. You seem to have been reduced to the old "I know you are, you said you are, but what am I" school yard come backs. For shame BlueBee, for shame.
I'm tired and weak Whitechapel. Leave me alone.

Ok, one last try, despite the fact this is mind-numbing. You claimed that Chelsea having shit attendances prior to 2003 was one of the biggest myths in football. I simply showed that, in just the 20+ years prior to 2003 when Abramovich bought the club, the myth you talked of wasn't actually a myth at all. You can dress it up however you like (and you have certainly tried), but a team with a ground capacity of over 40,000 averaging less than 20,000 in five seasons during a particular decade (and as low as 12,000 one season) is shit. Now, when you made the claim, perhaps you had in mind only the early to mid part of the last century when they regularly had fantastic attendance. Or even one particular game when they had over 80,000 through the gates. In which case that is your mistake, and posting photos of Alan Partridge doesn't change that.

As for the Liverpool attendances you quote, you are mistaking individual games with average attendance. Anyone can pick out shit individual games from any team, the key is the average throughout a season. And, whilst Liverpool did have a dip in attendance in the 80s, they still averaged around at 36,000 throughout the 80s. Besides, it wasn't me making claims about Liverpool and the attendance, I'm well aware ours has been a bit shit in the past.

Honesty from the OP, a Chelsea fan. Toodles should take a read.
I did and guess what? it says exactly what i said .........:woot: barring the 80's where EVERYONE struggled to get a decent gate even the top 5 ( again you said this wasn't true) and early 90's Chelsea have been one of the best supported clubs in England.

Try and change the argument all you want but the fact is Chelsea are in the top 5 for average attendances........oh and Liverpool are not.

So you didn't actually read it at all then. No worries.

Oh, and I never claimed Chelsea didn't have good reason in the past to have shit attendances. I simply pointed out you were talking bollocks by claiming they didn't.

What does that have to do with her being a woman?
Nothing.
On our attendances. 70 years good. 20 years bad. And now 20 years and counting of good.

"One of the biggest myths in football is Chelsea had shit attendances pre Abramovich.."

Someone needs to either word their claims properly, or they need to accept that 20 years of shit attendances is still shit attendances no matter how they desperately try to dress it up.

John Terry in press conference, "I'll take criticism from the likes of Rio Neville and Carragher but not from people who haven't had a career...Robbie Savage being one".

Savage.

It'll be interesting to see how it's handled. He knows he's been mugged off, and from someone with such a high profile as Terry there's no way he can come out of it with his head held high. Does he ignore it and pretend it never happened, or make a joke of it live on telly?

Mourinho says he's handling the troubles with dignity, and Terry says the public can't be happy they're losing.

Delusion of the highest order.

He'll spin it into a positive, claiming he can't be that insignificant if Terry is addressing him. Then he'll claim the only reason Terry has had a pop is because Savage is right, and Terry knows it.

Savage talks a load of bollocks, but he's played hundreds of games in the top two divisions so he's more than qualified to offer an opinion.

He described himself as world class, therefore his opinion is worthless.
