That's what happened already wasn't it. Well on ours it does, I've been watching our full games hungover on Sunday mornings for the past couple of years.

The full 90 minutes? Don't think so. But I've not had Shakers world for a number of years.

Probably not so much this level, but certainly in the Championship it could be a problem. Hopefully clubs are seeing some of the £120 fee to compensate for lost revenue

I'd argue that you're more reliant on folks coming into the stadium down here than further up given the differences in TV monies, i'm sure if we lost 5% of our support to this we wouldn't be overly affected whereas 5% of a club averaging 15-1,600 may hurt a tad more.

Fair point. I was more looking at the angle of, who is really going to pay £110 to watch Accrington Stanley matches, other than those die hards who are going to go to home games regardless?

Whereas Sheff Wed are more likely to have 'floating' fans who may see this as a good opportunity.

That's the thing.. the fans of the likes of Hartlepool and Accrington are going to pay 250 regardless, IMO. So it's not really a choice for many people down here

It would be nice to have at least a couple of cameras but even if it's one and no commentary I'm still happy. I got spoiled last year, I think I saw the Imps live in eleven games and I thought I would have to go through withdrawal this coming season.

So its noy really going to effect match tickets at all.

Yeah people could use a VPN, but when the general public are stupid enough to pay silly money for a TV box preloaded with a free app, I don't think many will be able to work out a VPN even if they have heard of one.

If, ultimately, we're going down the road of streaming matches online I don't see why clubs can't sell an online season ticket or individual matches at the same value they'd sell an actual season ticket or match day ticket. At least that way they wouldn't lose too much revenue.

With overseas subscribers it's not likely to affect revenue, wouldn't get their match day revenue anyway.

So unless you can be bothered to try and use fraudulent methods to bypass that, it'll only be available to those genuinely living in another country and not those trying to get it on the sly in the UK.

Be a bit of a piss take if they didn't have something such as that in place. Clubs, especially those with the lower crowds, will suffer enormously if you could watch all 46 of your clubs games for £120 or whatever it is. Hundreds lost in Season Ticket revenue and gate receipts.

Just my opinion but it should do exactly what it's designed to do. Provide the overseas supporters the chance to watch games they, 99% of the time, wouldn't get the opportunity to do. Live, anyway.

Not officially they're not. American is the nationality of a citizen of the USA. If you're from Brazil, your nationality isn't American. It's Brazilian.

The only instance I'll agree with this is if people who usually go to 40 games or more (working on an average L2 ticket price of £20 for argument's sake) go to less games because of this. I'll never make it 40 games next season, but I won't go to less games if I subscribe to this. If the clubs are worried about this, then they know what to do. Put their ridiculous ticket prices down. Subsidise travel costs more. More ticket offers. No booking fees. Cheaper/better food at grounds.

VPNs still manage to get round a lot of stuff. I think someone told me that the VPN gets around the great Chinese firewall.

VPN definitely gets around the firewall in China, as a foreigner it's pretty much a necessity that you have one otherwise you'll struggle doing even simple things on the internet. Every now and again you will find that your preferred service has become blocked though so always good to have a back up up your sleeve.

I imagine for something like this it will be relatively easy in comparison to circumvent utilising one.

Interesting there is a match pass option with your VPN switched on. Works out about £5 a game and a lot less to lose if you want to test it for streaming quality etc.

That is very handy because most of my travelling is to the ROI which doesn't count as "overseas" for the sake of iFollow.
