But what if you have the season pass or monthly pass? Do you still have to pay for the game?
Clarkey_GTFC didn't but he has the old player account, anyone with a new I follow UK subscription had to pay for today's game?

I really don't know how Clarkey is able to tbh. I may be wrong but the UK season pass/monthly pass only allows one to listen to the game, but it also lets you watch the highlights or match replay when the footage is put up. The overseas pass is different as it has both radio and live streaming options. In fact, that's why people in the UK and Ireland are using vpn's.

That's what I thought maybe teething problems or technical issues allowed UK users with a VPN to watch regardless of what they paid for which could be fixed or not.

Regardless when I am able to watch a game live I will get the UK monthly pass and then turn on vpn and see if I can watch or have to pay for match pass again.

Reading back through the comments with interest. A few of things based on my previous with VPNs, although I'm no IT expert...

1. You need a strong wi-fi connection. If you're in a hotel or simply have poor bandwidth, I've noticed in the part that the VPN would drop out a fair number of times.

2. My bank account doesn't like iVanish VPN (I think that's the name) - as such, my bank account has been blocked a number of times because of it.

3. The VPN server can also be intermittent.

I'd be a bit cautious if you're gambling £110 on all of these things coming together.

Someone tried to stream our game on soccer streams.net but it wasn't working

Thought it would be a matter of time before someone was able to stream this EFL abroad thing

I think I tried that way and I was having problems with PayPal too. They have a algorythm so its a computer picks up the unusual transactions. Unfortunately, do to work my bank card has shown up in about 4 different continents this year so its probably wondering what the hell I'm up to.

I used IPVanish, paid for the game via a UK account and had no problems at all

FYI- I use NordVPN (yearly sub) and have a bog standard £4.49 sub for Ifollow Ipswich - whcih was originally an ipswich player subscription that they converted automatically. Providing I select an international IP, I can stream the game (I don't think they are aware of this), as I did today. Quality was excellent, though my internet is pretty much the best fibre you can get and NordVPN is paid for.

I use private Internet access vpn, about $4 a month and never had a problem with it, doesn't slow down my net and they have plenty of countries you can choose for your ip.

Will be trying ifollow with it soon, hopefully be at home next week and be to watch.

Does anyone know if this works with Hola? Regret cancelling My Player in pre-season like I always do, having read that people with these old subscriptions are streaming the games for free.

It seems to work for me but I haven't tested it with a game yet. It lets me get to the payment option for a subscription so I assume it works.

Are people having trouble with commentary and other bits and pieces with it? We've got some fans who have had no problems and some who've basically not been able to watch/listen to anything yet this season.

On one of our forums, we have a guy from Australia who is now able to watch the games but it doesn't have commentary and the crowd noise has a 15 second delay, yet a guy in America has no problems at all.

You can't get audio commentary on the visual feed- they are from separate sources, and as such, they would not sync correctly. So it's a choice of one or the other - and will remain this way.

Have they put a VPN check in?

I subscribed today and can watch live video, with VPN turned on but it doesn't load, in fact no videos load with VPN on. However with it off they do, except live game obviously.

I have just managed to fool the app by clicking live game with vpn on, and then quickly stopping the vpn while the stream tries to load and so I am now watching the live stream successfully (having only paid for the £5 a month option)

So it looks to me like they have put a check in too see if you have a vpn and if so the video doesn't load.

Anyone else confirm?

My Player HD monthly subscription was still running, but I've cancelled that and gone for the season pass so I can watch the live stream. Fingers crossed that it works. The ifollow people told me that for people living abroad it was either the full HD stream or the free highlights. A sole radio package is apparently no longer available for us. Mind you, it's easy enough to change the country of residence on your profile...

If I'd have known I'd have tried what Frealaf has done first. If it turns out I could have continued paying my monthly 4.49 while also watching the stream I'd be very annoyed with myself...

After watching our game against Chesterfield using the basic 4.49 monthly subscription no problem it's now telling me to purchase a match or season pass. I don't really mind paying per match, annoying that it's on top of the monthly sub though. Wonder why this never popped up 2 weeks ago.

Yeah, they've patched the bug, it was never meant to happen. Fortunately, the VPN trick still works nicely and doesn't seem to cause any issues paying with a UK billing address for the £6 match pass. If it does in future, we will have to start using VCC's.

I'm surprised people have not started streaming themselves yet.

Yeah won't be long before they are available as streams, but don't expect most lge 2 or even 1 games to be picked up

I watched us at Luton today with an old £4.49 subscription, seemed fine for me. Shame we were absolutely shit though.

Did the live stream keep on freezing (I believe it's called buffering) like mine did? The only way that works for me is to continually log out and then log in again every 10 mins, which is simply ridiculous.

I miss the commentary watching the live feed - ours is an excellent team. Hoping some bright spark works out how to stream that either in iFollow or via an alternative option. I have a TV App that allows you to stream audio for a scanned tv channel on your phone and it has a buffer where you can adjust the sound forward or backwards to match the delay so it syncs...................so its possible.

There was a couple of two-three minute spells during the game where it was a bit jerky and stop-start, but in the main it was decent enough.

There was a guy on our forum who managed it so it is possible. He opened two browser windows, one for the stream and one for the comm, and then paused the stream just enough for the comm to catch up as it was slightly behind.
