Is this the way to (Amarillo) relegation?

I get all that and agree 100% but still cannot see the logic in being better off staying down, I really don't! Please don't take any of my posts as a dig at BCS as they're most definitely not but I do feel the logic is somewhat flawed TBH.
No of course not mate, it's interesting debate and it's a lot more enjoyable when this section is lively!

I don't like the club, but I have absolutely nothing against the younger fans. BCS is 20 (so he tells me), so when the club were formed he was 7. He's grown up and he's supported a local team. What's wrong with that? I have so much more respect for him and other young MK fans than I would if I walked about in Milton Keynes and saw kids in Chelsea, United, Liverpool shirts etc.
Might be something to do with the way said team was formed you massive idiot.

I've watched us in relegation battles before what we have won and lost

I referred to that, a couple of seasons at the beginning of your inception. Since then it had been 9 years of plain sailing, up to now.

You'll never feel like a 'proper' Footbll club because you'll never be a 'proper' Football club.
I never said anything about being a proper football club, I said a proper fanbase. But anyway in that case that means that there are quite a few clubs in the leagues that aren't 'proper football clubs' Man Utd, Arsenal and West Ham included, and even more in non-league. MK is literally just an example on a much bigger scale.

I'd rather support my local team, that is a 10 minute drive away than support a Manchester United or a Chelsea that I can only realistically watch on TV, if that makes me scum in your eyes then so be it I really couldn't care less

How are Man Yoo, West Ham and Arsenal not proper clubs?

You're just as bad as the fans of Franchise FC. You make me sick.
Sounds to me like you're still bitter that they left you behind last season...

Don't worry Michael, they'll be back with you next season.

Fair point, can have an effect I guess. Been an exciting start to life for MK Dons

Nope. My stance on Franchise FC is well known, and existed long before they gained promotion last season.

If you actually read through this thread I said I didn't like the club, but have nothing against the younger generation of fans, which I stick by.

Sorry, that doesn't make what you said okay. Maybe once you're a little bit older you will understand.

They are the largest examples I know who all moved from their 'spiritual homes' to new locations and changed their names, only 100 years ago so nobody cares anymore

I don't recall any of those clubs upping sticks 60 miles

As if you're trying to patronise me given you're what, six or seven years older than me?

Like I said to CU, I enjoy the discussion and the views - it makes this place active. Don't make it personal.

They didn't, but I did say that we are just a bigger scale.

And if you're going to be like that, arguably to get to MK from Wimbledon is a lot easier than Woolwich to Highbury was back in 1913, or even Newton Heath to Old Trafford in 1902. But again they were 100 years ago so nobody cares

This discussion wasn't about the formation of MK Dons people (although it was always going to get on to that) rather that a supporter said he would rather go down and stay down than stay up / come back up.
I still don't get it! :sna:
It reeks of preferring to be a small school bully rather than testing yourself elsewhere to me.

No, you're not the same entity or one simply reborn you stole an established clubs League place for the few sheckles of coin, do you really believe the creepy child catcher would have given two fucks without the stadium and land?

MK as a city, should it have wanted a football team, should have grown one organically.

I don't think you'll ever get it Ciderup pal, and I know I'm in the minority but it's just the way I feel.

It would be nice to come up and compete but we just aren't going to (compete that is, we could get promoted again). Yes it could be seen as defeatist but it is what it is.
