They'll be a 6 point gap between us and you Saturday, see how many laughing faces youll be posting then...
You've changed your tune - you were slaughtering Redfearn and claiming you'd gone down a month or so ago.

You're not exempt from this relegation battle - you were level on points with us on Tuesday, that tells us all you need to know about how shit your season has been.

He's toss, Steve Evans' signings are keeping us up.

There won't be much change at either end, the entire league is devoid of any real quality. No teams are really good enough to climb the table so the ones above them will be fine.
I agree there's little in the way of standout quality, from 5/6th down towards 18th is quite much of a muchness largely, and even those at the top you'd feel you have a shot at beating on a good day (we managed to win at Boro somehow, and nearly held on against Hull) But I'd say that evenness makes it more likely a team, with a bit of momentum, could put a run together or vice versa

I mean, only a month or so ago Rotherham looked as doomed as Bolton. Few foresaw their run of form, 4 wins out of 5 at home isn't it now?

Still reckon it'll be the standard 47-48pts required for safety, meaning one of those teams in lower mid-table could still be dragged in by a real bad spell

I reckon unless Riga has a big impact at Charlton, them and Bolton will go. Any of Bristol City, Rotherham and MK could go though. Can't call it really. Wouldn't say any of them are doomed.

Barring any absolute collapse from us between now and the end of the season I can't see us being relegated now. 13 clear of the bottom 3.

Now we have lost our only goalscorer, can I add QPR into the mix?

And slowly but surely Fulham are being dragged back in as well - Presuming we consign Charlton and Bolton already going down, 1 from 4 is much better prospect than 1 from 3 for the rest of us.

No chance they'll be in a dogfight. Good manager now and always look dangerous going forward. Blackburn look like the main outsiders atm.

If Bristol City didn't we we'd be 4 points clear. Bastards.

Agreed about Blackburn, if/when Rhodes leaves they'll be in trouble

TBH I am really surprised you are down here with us. I knew we would struggle, I thought Preston would do fine but you should have stormed up this league. Obviously I know nothing of your club politics but with a billionaire in the seat, you shouldn't be struggling.

A shocking summer hasn't helped us WR and unrealistic transfer targets have excited the fans but left our squad stupidly small. The persistence that 3-5-2 works in this league has (IMHO) shown scandalous stubborness from our now ex boss as well.
Will we pull away from trouble now? Obviously, I hope so and today was an excellent start but that's all it is, a start.
The decision to be made in the next few days will speak volumes for the ambition of the club and the £Billionaire. If it's a cheapie like Appleton, oh dear (with all respect to him) but if it's a Pearson or (doubtful) our old boy Moysie, watch the £££ flow.
We wait with baited breath.
