Hopefully that's an omen! I'm not that fussed if we win or lose and I expect to get a national hammering on TV...BUT...I would like to score at an important point in the game. Just to celebrate a Walsall goal with 30,000 other people as it probably won't happen ever again, like ever.

This is all I wanted from the United game! Just the chance to actually celebrate a huge goal with a sold out Deepdale. Hope Walsall can win it, purely cos they knocked us out :)

Yeah this came up on our forum a while back, Birmingham are the only ones to do it back in the early 90s. Grimsby did the Cup/Playoff final double one year as well

Quite impressively Wolves won the old 4th Division and Trophy double in 1988. Steve Bull got close to 50 goals that season.

Just been announced that we've received an extra 4000 tickets, not sure what that takes our allocation to now

Fair play Bristol City that's impressive. All gone a bit quiet updating our numbers now. I suspect we may level out at approx 28k. Even so we are looking at a minimum 71k attendance which is bonkers for the JPT final!

Yes the local community has come together well for this, really nice to see. It's a shame even 10% more of them don't come down the Bescot on a Saturday, with a town our size we should average 7-8k. But that's what you get when half the community doesn't speak English or support Villa/Albion/Wolves/Blues instead.

Over 29,000 sold as of this morning. Tickets stop selling on Thursday afternoon, hope we can just nudge 30k. What an achievement that would be for us.

Excited Chris?

A little bit, just because it's probably the only time I will ever see 30,000 'Walsall' fans sat all together at once in a stadium. I think the atmosphere will be poor, there will be proper fans split all over the place and loads of prawn sandwhich daytrippers, we will also get battered on international television. I'm looking forward to getting pissed and as I said, if we can score a goal then I'll be happy.

40,000 sold, and it's done now.

Good effort all round, should be a cracking day.

MK Dons won L2 and the JPT, which is impressive.

Yep, 2007/2008 under Paul Ince - we do have some history!
We beat Swansea City on penalties in the area final before beating Grimsby Town 2-0 in the final. Seems weird now considering where both clubs are today.

We took 33,000 fans to the final too and it was an awesome day out regardless of it 'only being the JPT' :D!

Someone on our board has said that Wembley responded to an email he sent them saying the attendance will be 78,000!!

Not bad for a final where one team is little old Smallsall. 2nd highest JPT attendance at the new Wembley.

Problem is, only about 5,000 of them are active supporters.

Renamed the thread seeing as we've already been discussing details of the game on here.
