I watched that interview too but at what point does he look at himself? Walsall made 4 half time substitutes, Askey continuously refuses to make subs. Today we made 1 in 86 minutes.. we have 5 available and no matter what options are on the bench it isn’t easy competing against fresh legs. When you counter in this is the same week in week out, most of our key defenders are probably unfit, he should have been rotating weeks ago.

I’ve been pretty consistent in my support of Askey and still am but yeah this is valid criticism to me. Was a complete failure to react and in all honesty normally you calm down the day after but am even more annoyed by this now.

I hope they are at least being dragged in for extra training this morning. Not one of them goals should have been allowed to happen. That first one was shameful and the two from set pieces even worse.

Been mentioned before but the senior pros are letting down the side right now. Its not without positives such as Hurst, Rodney and Conlon but its too much to expect them to cover for the others ineptitude. Even that Bolton win at the back of mind even when the sixth went in there was a thought if any team could blow it then it would be us.

When Bolton made it 6-2 I text my mate saying here we go! Then they got the 3rd which was a school boy goal to concede and then they had one disallowed and one hit the bar... it was only when we got to the 92nd minute I thought we’ve won this!

That in itself was lack of concentration and foot of the gas, all our Walsall’s goals came in 2 five minute spells of just sheer switching off. The forth was a joke as their last had done the same thing for the second and no one followed him this time.

We aren’t being undone by quality but by ourselves most weeks and that’s the most unacceptable aspect. How we’ve lost that when in reality we should of won comfortably is beyond me. I had their commentary on at the start of the second half and they weren’t happy with their subs and felt we’d win comfortably once we’d seen out the first 15 of the half which they expected us to do so.

First half we defended fairly well but I don’t know what is going on mentality especially with the last ten minute issue (read something like over a quarter of the goals we’ve conceded are last ten?

Is it a fitness issue? Second half we’ve conceded hat fulls but have a very good first half record at the back? I get 20 league goals conceded 2nd half 7 first?

Need to get to the bottom of it fast.

Rumours abound on OVF of issues behind the scenes too aren’t helping and if true need sorting!

Very little social distancing behind the goal at Barrow - is terracing exempt?!

Not a surprise Dunn didn't get results of his passing football with a pitch like that!

Yeah, a couple of announcements during the first half asking people to spread out - the club have designated which part of the ground people should stand, but never reckoned on the fact that people would seek shelter in torrential rain. Think it's a bit of a balls up on their part and wouldn't be surprised if next game is season ticket holders only again.

Always nice to win the derby, Scunthorpe were absolutely shite.

Next up is the Covid Classico against Bradford. The side who tried to force us into playing with Covid because they wanted an easy 3 points, only to be absolutely shite all season.

Whatever the result on Tuesday, one of us is going to end up with egg on our faces and some historic tweets will be dug up.

Take a bow Darrell Clarke. Admitted he put the wrong team out due to fan pressure to stop chopping and changing, put 4 on at half time and even I was bemused as two of those were our top goalscorers! But a 4-3 win proves all us fans wrong and shows why he is the manager and not us, full credit to him. Thought we weren't even that bad first half and were very unlucky to go into halftime not winning let alone losing 2-0 but it was the exact same story the other way around on Tuesday against Oldham, footballs a funny old game. We had a 35 year old coach at left back in the second half and somehow won the second half 4-1, insanity!

Just wish that game could have been in front of a crowd, would have been absolute limbs.

Hurst was unplayable for Vale, especially in their dominant 20 minute spell before half time. Two best players I have seen this season against us are him and Bahamboula at Oldham, both look a cut above. But asides from that said twenty minutes they looked weirdly poor, a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde performance on their behalf. Still think they might squeeze in the playoffs, they have more than enough about them.

Hurst has done well with the injuries we have. He hadn’t even made an EFL appearance until 2 weeks ago and had been back to Bradford PA on loan, only featuring in the EFL Trophy. One positive of a poor day.

You have nothing to say. You said TRFC are shite. What does that make Bolton. You lose when you play anybody who plays well against you. Looks like you need 76 points from your next game to win the league by the time you said you would. Tough ask. Enjoy defeat. You must know how it feels very well now.

Nothing changed....your teams tin pot, shite and for some reason you muppets have tried to have Bolton as your rivals.......you dont mean nothing to us, your not local. We hardly ever played you because you have always been in the lower leagues...your irrelevant

You have only started playing on a Saturday in the last ten years because if you played on a Saturday all your loyal fans would go watching Liverpool or Everton

An extremely disjointed showing from ourselves this afternoon, barring the start of the second half when we seemed to get going and had a golden chance to go 2-1 ahead with James Brophy drawing a good save from Glen Morris we looked very disjointed and shit.

Crawley came on strong in the final 20mins and took the chance they made and we never looked like getting back into it, so many of our players looked tired and played very poorly - particularly in the final 20mins.

The ref I thought was poor - Failed to give both teams numerous free kicks and I'm pretty sure there was a handball by our left back in the build to when we scored.

Crawley had to work hard to win that, but they had enough about them to punish us at the end. Embleton punished for taking our left back off for an attacking player and Crawley scored within minutes of it happening.
Lee Bradbury (asst coach) said in his interview after the game that both benches were getting riled up by the ref during the game. He didn't go full John Yems though so he will not get a fine etc.

We are all as tinpot as where we are, Bolton included.
I remember great rivalry with Bolton in the 70s & 80s , 90s & 00s Tranmere, 2010s Rochdale and now 20s Salford.
Thats the way it is, thats football.
Anyway Tranmere are a good rival in my opinion.
Bolton have great history but at present they are struggling in Div 4, history is as it says history !!

We have been playing on saturday since 1998 when the FL made it compulsory. We havent had an average attendance below 5,000 since 1988. The nearest club to Horwich is Wigan and that is a rugby league town. You are a 4th division club and better get used to the fact. Enjoy your nightly pint of vinegar you sour little man.

Think you have an agenda with Tranmere so i'll leave it there, although comparing them with the pie eaters is nuts..... Tranmere any day for me
