Portsmouth are surprisingly low at least in relative terms. Suppose ours is about or maybe just above par on that table.
We've been very frugal for a while now and operating at the cheaper end of the market. Hence our league position the last few seasons.

It also explains why we couldn't buy Clarke out of his contract. It will be the same next season, unless we sell someone for a relatively big fee (e.g. Bishop.)

i'd like to think that in the next season or two the financial money-pit that is Fratton Park will have finally been filled and we can start to reap the benefits of above average crowds and the finance that brings with it.

The risk is that a few more seasons of being a league one mid-table side might see the crowds disappearing in the meantime!

Peterborough given a suspended three point deduction by the EFL for what looks some irregularity about appointing their chief executive. I don’t know the ins and outs and it doesn’t effect us but if there is a club that miss the playoffs by a couple of points under Peterborough I suspect this won’t be the last that gets heard of this and not without justification.

Well we have the toughest run-in on paper. Good job nothing is riding on it. Can just relax and possibly be a spanner in the works for a few up there.

Now we’ve got most of the tough games out of the way, our run in looks decent. We’re staying up!

Oh.

Oh.
We played our part and gave you an away win :bg: You looked decent that day but we had the likes of Westbrooke playing...

I think ours is harder, we have Ipswich where you have Peterborough (we've just played them) and Morecambe instead of Vale.
We are definitely the kingmakers

Yeah very similar fixtures there. I think we can agree that wrecking Plymouths promotion ambitions has to be top priority!

Us, Accrington, Oxford and Dons all have similar run ins then. Running out of hope to cling on to!

It’s a relatively minor misdemeanour which I guess is why it’s suspended. But it still feels fairly pointless even giving them it. It’s effectively just a warning.

Whats the point in suspending the deduction. If they done wrong then they should be made to pay now.

Vale's accounts are out, spent £1.5 million on infrastructure, only 100k on transfer fees (making more back) and debts over £4 million, all be it nearly all covered by loans from Synectics (Carol).

That infrastructure has been further invested in since last June and the Stand Swap is costing a lot in terms of infrastructure so imagine that figure is even higher now so maybe makes sense we had a tighter window in January based on that.

Jevani Brown had his court case this morning.
Pleaded guilty on one charge of assault, not guilty on another.

Trial at Exeter Crown Court on July 7th.
Following on from this, strong rumours at the club that there’s a contract on the table. If he doesn’t do jail time, he’ll sign it. 2 year deal by all accounts

I'd assumed that if found guilty, or admitting guilt, that Exeter would be the kind of Club to get rid full stop. Obviously he's a decent player so maybe that clouds the thinking but I didn't think you'd even entertain keeping him after his behaviour.

I'm no body language behavioural expert, but going by Caldwell's post match interview from Tuesday night, he wants Brown to be able to play. Our media man kept mentioning players who are injured, and GC kept going back round and bringing JB up in conversation.

Seems it was the board making the decisions, not Caldwell.

Me too, we would have sacked Barton had he been found guilty. I guess it depends on the club. Bit of a turnaround sigining a new deal considering he wanted to leave in Jan.

We've received planning permission today for the Stacey West development i.e. the current away end.

Initially, it was due to start in 2020 and was going to be new office space and facilities for the Lincoln City Foundation with the stand itself getting new concourse areas, hospitality areas and also doubled in capacity but the cost for that ballooned from the initial £2m for obvious reasons.

The revised plans are without the additional seating and hospitality areas but is still costing around the same (£1m of the cost is via grants). Will also trial safe standing in there as well as a block in the home ends with a view of fully rail seating it during the second phase where the hospitality and increased capacity will be added at some point. Other infrastructure bits as well but I'll not bore you with those!

This is the reason we have that bus stop type stand next to the away end because the roof should have been off it by now and you have to provide a certain number of covered seating.

The ceremonial start for this was on Friday (whatever that is) with it due to start properly in a week or so.

In theory there shouldn't be any disruption inside the Stadium by the time next season starts but the full build will take over a year. Going to end up costing £3m.

Tells you everything when amongst your player of the month nominees you include a LB who constantly got skinned in 3 separate pastings (Robson) and a supposed striker (Omotoye) with 0 goals and 1 shot on target this month, although tbf he did run about a bit when he came on in a couple of games.

He battles ok at times but struggles up against pacy wingers and defending deep crosses. Has been targeted quite a lot recently, especially at Cheltenham. We’ve conceded a lot of goals down his side.

We had a goal of the month competition earlier in the season and had to draft in goals from the academy and women's sides because our only one was a penalty.

We‘ve done that all season as the men hardly score good goals or any at all !

I recall posting on the tinpot thread a couple of years ago that one side (I want to say Doncaster but can’t remember 100%) abandoned their goal of the month as they hadn’t scored any and instead ran a “shot of the month” competition.

That can't be your goal of the season. Seriously - I'm sure I've seen you score better this season.

FGR's winner against us in the opening game was better than that from Regan Hendry
