We're now chasing an LB and a CB after the Dave Richards signing.

The LB we all know is Stephen Kingsley from Swansea City and he's been given a choice of signing for Hibernian or us. Hopefully he realises Scottish football is a sack of shite and makes the move to us but now there's rumours of Championship interest knocking about. If that move fails Davis has said we're taking another LB on loan from a Top 10 Premier League club. No idea who that is. After Bradford have seemingly decided against signing Greg Leigh, I still feel Kingsley or this other lad will join us over him unless Leigh was to dramatically reduce his wage demands, but I don't see us going back in for him.

The CB was Kingsley's fellow loanee at Yeovil last season Ben Nugent from Cardiff City. Nugent was pants against us last season at GR in a 1-0 win for us where we should've been more convincing winners. He's 6ft 5 but appears to have had a brief career littered with stupid red cards and defensive mistakes. As this is a reminder of George Ray's habitual lapses of concentration over the first 12-18 months of his professional career, then this is a signing I'd like to avoid making. The injury to Cardiff's Bruno Ecuele Manga also seems to have stalled the move until they assess his condition. Alan Tate is also a candidate for the spot and the vast majority of our fans, myself included, favour signing him in order to add experience and stability to the three open floodgates at the back. However Davis has said that the LB remains his priority so I doubt we'll have an extra CB signed up by the Vale game.

Still no news on the Ryan Colclough saga either which is frustrating.

Saunders interview suggested Ciarns was signed due to Chapman and Tommy's injuries rather than with a view to farming one of them out on loan.

Surely Cairns and Chapman are similar players - both young needing first team football to aid their development. Strange one to me signing one young keeper just to send another young one out on loan.

According to the Yorkshire Post, we're still trying to sign a certain Centre Back to replace AD! Talks have been ongoing for more than a week.

It also announces that we've received a further £200k windfall on Andre Wisdoms loan move to Norwich, where we have a very lucrative clause in his Liverpool contract. Adding to McBurnie's move to Swansea for £300k, last years cup run and 18k+ ST's sold, the club is in a very healthy position. Yorkshire post also report that a number of new faces are still to arrive before 8th August.
