Probably offered the amount we're getting for Smith to Barnsley - plus a bit more. Around £750,000 I reckon.

Tall, reliable to a point, decent enough on the ball, but also slow and poor positionally. Not a commanding centre half but works well in a pair if partnered with a leader, or at least someone more imposing.

We're fucked then, if it's him.

Double it and it would be seriously considered because our chairman had a track record of being trigger happy and selling low, but I'd want £2m plus.

Bradshaw will go to the Championship when he goes.

What's the going rate for a 23 year old striker who scored 20 in 30 starts last season and has 3 in 2 so far this season? We got £750k for Troy Deeney 6 years ago after 16 goals.. not comparing them now. But Bradshaw is miles better than Deeney was for us and the market has moved forward. £350k for 20 goal Will Grigg at tribunal..since risen to £650k through add-ons...that was 20 goals in 1 season and 9 were penalties.

I'd want £1m+ for Bradshaw in this market, at his age, with 2 years left on his contract. We will get it too when he leaves.

£100k is an utter joke if it's true, especially considering WE WILL go down if he gets sold. What does relegation cost?

Bradshaw has had one good season and has a questionable injury record. Get real.

Going rate for L1 strikers varies. Wigan paid Brentford a mil for Grigg, Austin only went for a £1m and change I think... but then you have Assombalonga who went for £5m up-front (admittedly probably only bcause Watford had a 50% sell-on clause).

Could definitely see Bradshaw leaving for a fee in the region of £1m, give or take a few hundred k.

From League 1 to League 2? Barely anything.

A disabled kid in a wheelchair would score 20 a season up-front for Walsall, dunno if it's the system or what but it's been that way for a while now. Bradshaw's a bit overrated and a massive crock (that's being kind). I wouldn't even pay £500k for him - he wouldn't do owt in the Championship. Anyone who starts mentioning Assombalonga, Wilson, Gayle, Rhodes etc...in the same breath as him needs a psych evaluation.

Nahki Wells went to Hudders for an initial fee of £1.5m, and I felt we had our pants down with that.

I don't know much about Bradshaw, other than he's rated highly at Wallsall. You'll probably get £1m max IMO.

So did Deeney...Grigg was even more so a one season penalty wonder...Paterson only did it in one 6 month spell...It's really not in question that he would leave for £1m+. Forest paid that for Paterson...Watford ALMOST paid it for a lesser (statistically) Troy Deeney 6 years ago..The stats don't lie.. Jonny got a tad excited and is perhaps slightly bias by the fact that he has a man crush (Who wouldn't). £2m is obviously a long way off. But £1m most certainly isn't, it's very realistic. Bradshaw is worth more to us as a side than he is on paper and with 2 years left on his deal, he will only leave for a fee very worthwhile. For all Bonser doesn't spend anything budget wise, he does get reasonable fees for our players.

Nobody did mention him being in the same league as any of those players, just a price comparison for the going rate of League One strikers - he isn't anywhere near as good as any of those players. However my point isn't null, he won't leave us for less than £1m... (If he does, it will be £800k etc) providing that he goes on to get 15-20 goals again this season, which would be a VERY fair price for a striker who has just scored 40 in 2 seasons, in a very average football team. There's a thread on our forum at the moment where people supporting us for 40 years haven't seen a better all round forward..not even in Leitao..Fryatt...Deeney etc. Obviously people are blinded and bias by someone who is current and in good form, you forget the qualities of players from over a decade ago.. but he's better than anything we have had since I've been supporting us and he is rapidly learning/developing as the main man at the club.

It's really not questionable at all given our track record of getting £1m for him, right here, right now in this window. Whether people who don't have a bias or look in from the outside agree or disagree, par/worse players have left for a similar price tag. I just hope lots of management teams around the football league wouldn't pay £500k for him either..that means he will be ours all season and that's the difference in us going down and having a stinker and being top half.

It's funny seeing fans from other clubs who have only seen him once or twice telling people who have seen all but 1 or 2 of his appearances how good he is.

Ultimately it doesn't make sense to assign a player 'worth' as what you get for them depends massively on who is doing the bidding (and the selling).
If your player is bid on by Rotherham or MK Dons you might get 500k for them, whilst interest from a Derby or Forest sized club probably pushes that into the 1-2 million mark. If your lucky enough for QPR to be interested you could get 4/5 million for the same player.

Ultimately Bradshaw could easily be worth somewhere between 500k and 2 million, depending on who is actually interested and I wouldn't be that surprised to see him move at either end of that spectrum.

QPR make third bid for Bentley, boringgg zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz they clearly want him, 90% sure they will now just hope they can stop offering peasant amounts for him so we can get some cash in to get McLeod sooner rather than later. Then I hope we get Nick Pope on loan once Charlton's number 1 is back to full fitness just to piss Bury off.

Walsall would be mental to accept anything less than £1m in today's market.

Better player than Grigg from what i've seen.

On loan for the season. Impressed with that, we could also do with a winger, full back and CM.

Jamie Murphy to Brighton doesn't seem like going away. Fee rumoured 1.5-2mill. Personally think he's slightly overrated, the amount of games we may as well play with 10 men as he goes silent is annoying. But then on his day he beats teams on his own. All about who we bring in as replacement for me, would be nice to think we'd poach one of the better players from this league like Byrne but we'll probably just settle for Woolford taking his place :hb::hb: in which case we can kiss goddbye to automatics.

On paper it looks a good signing and possibly means a switch to 4-4-2.

I put in the Sheff Utd match thread i'd settle for 1 signing, so i guess i'm not allowed to moan but...........centre midfield is the area for me that is in urgent need of attention.

we definitely dropped a bollock with Bradshaw - it was clear there was a good player in there somewhere but we were never likely to discover it with 5 minute substitute cameos. He has exceeded expectations at Walsall though - fair play to him as he is a nice lad. The only slightly suspect think is his injury record but perhaps he is over that now.

Swindon tried the old derisory bid + Miles Story with us too when bidding for Goldson and got short shrift!
