Chairman has now said we were close to signing 2 players but deals fell through due to 'third party' interference (think he means agents).

Although we've had a decent TW I'm dissapointed we've failed to bring in a more powerful CM than Basham (only CM's currently available are Reed and Basham so very thin there) and would've liked anoth CB too as again we only have Edgar, Collins and McEveley fit that play there and McEveley is playing LB anyway.

Blimey Matt, very negative view from you, Shrewsbury have always had to sell gems to progress, and better now than January,

On the plus side we have Wesolowski and Percival back fit and started in tonight's win in the paint pot, so a much needed lift for Saturday.
All part of the food chain, 4 players who have gone through our youth structure have earnt the club around 2 million, we just have to keep doing it and I am sure we will reinvest some of the money in the squad toward consolidating in league 1 this season and then hopefully pushing on!

A front 3 of Fabien Robert, Obika/Thomas and Ajose looks handy. With Hylton, Jordan Stewart and potentially Ojamaa in the mix too, all of a sudden we'd look well stacked in forward areas should Ajose and Ojamaa both sign up.

Wes Thomas , Jonathan Obika and Nicky Ajose is a decent front 3 for L1. With the Jermaine Hylton, the lad Jordan Stuart from Glentoran and the Estonian Ojamaa out wide hopefully we wont miss Byrne too much. looking forward too see how this squad comes together.

This is where we disagree, I really rate Flanagan, but he's more of a Sawyers than a Mantom in his style of play - doesn't cut it defensively but he's very positive on the ball.

But yeah this is for Chambers so we don't end up with what happened last year in the one game without him - Rochdale away
