Looks like we are signing nobody. Unbelievable.

Really hope that's the case.

It wouldn't make any sense for either of them to leave now really, Dack's banging in the goals and playing regularly, if we go up he'll be playing in the Championship next season and if not he can leave in the summer. Same goes for Egan, he's out of contract in the summer so if we end up in League One he can leave for a Championship side if that's what he wants to do. Still, credit to Scally as you say (if they do actually stay).

We've released Darius Henderson, which should keep the boo-boys happy for 5 minutes, and loaned out Kevin Van Veen, which won't.

Hopefully means a Paddy/Woo-ton Dream forward line but it won't.

Well done to Gillingham and Walsall for not cashing in, meanwhile we have triple the gates of those teams and sold off our prized asset to Norwich. Absolute bastards

For £7million and he's been loaned back.

He would've gone in the summer anyway. I fail to see the issue.

I refuse to believe it's 2 million. Why would Spurs/Liverpool not have signed him at that price if they were scouting him for so long?

£2 million rising to £3.5 million with add ons apparently, maybe Spurs/Liverpool never put in a firm offer?

The big clubs scout everyone and anyone with a smidgeon of potential. Maybe they just didn't think he was at their level?

Pmsl at everyone losing their shit over Madders. A talent yes, but he's hardly played this year and our decline in form has coincided with his return to fitness - not suggesting that those two are directly related before you all jump down my throat.

The reality is that he would've left at the end of the season anyway, so we've done well to keep him until then.

Shock horror, Premier League club buys player with Premier League potential from small club.

£2m for just about anyone ever from this division is good business.

Reports this morning suggesting it's an initial £2.5 million which will rise to £9.5 million with clauses.

In other words, not that bad a deal after all.

Imagine there are some pretty ridiculous clauses in there. If he ever wins ballon d'or etc.

The Coventry Telegraph understands that the eventual fee will be significantly higher than the lowest figure of £2million that has been reported in a number of media outlets and significantly lower than the £9.5m at the other end of the speculation spectrum.

While the starting payment may be relatively modest, the nature of the deal means that City could eventually earn upwards of £6m if Maddison fulfils all of his potential and Norwich City enjoy success.
