You had him for a few games I'd rather judge him on the 150 plus games for us.

Meh, if he was that good he'd be playing first team for you. He's not a bad keeper just nothing special.

Chesterfield have made the best signing so far in Jon Nolan. I hope he's on a long term deal for their sake

He would have but we signed a Prem keeper who certainly for the first months of the season proved to be very good. We can't afford two top keepers if cutting the budget and Alnwicks on a three year deal,

I'd honestly never heard of him until yesterday but Grimsby fans generally have been saying really good things about him despite him not being there all that long which is encouraging.

There's always going to a bit of a question mark as to weather he will make the jump up 2 leagues (Same with Kristian Dennis) but i'd rather the club went down the route of signing younger, hungry (get the clichés in) players from further down the footballing pyramid than do what we did last season; sign expensive, injury ravaged/way past their best flops. Shout-out to SEB and Chris Herd!

A derisory bid of £400k turned down for Bradshaw, from Preston. I'd be looking at £1m given he has a year left on his contract. For a striker who made 20 goals two seasons running with room to improve given his age. Thankfully we don't appear to be the club that needed to sell anymore, like we did a few years back when selling Deeney etc to wipe remaining debts from the Championship days.

Hope you take em to the cleaners! (we've got a 20% sell on apparently)

Replaceable, had a decent season but always been the 1 good game in every 3/4 games man hasn't he. Worrying though in terms of what are we offering our players and staff next season when they are leaving for Shrewsbury and Cobblers.

He's an arsehole on and off the pitch. Tried having a fight with Adam Thompson in the Wigan game. Footballing ability okay. He wanted guaranteed game time with us which we could not give him so he cancelled his contract after just having a year extension activated. If you have guaranteed him starts don't expect a lot.

Agree what you say VF16, however most players at this level are like that or would be higher up the chain. Dodds split opinion but all i,ll say is he chipped in with 6 to 10 most seasons and was played in all sorts of positions most of which didn,t suit his strengths eg/ when stuck wide right.
Definitely replaceable but as you said worrying when Shrews are a more appealing option.
Is there a 5-a-side league Vale can enter ??

Do you still have Ian Black Shrews fans? He's the end of a bell as well as this Deegan character.

Still with us as it stands and has another years contract but rumours are he wants to go back up to Scotland. Not sure we'd want both him and Deegan as they sound similar although with the suspensions they would rack up we might need both!

Yeah, Black is an ex-Jambo and used to be quite well thought of. He did quite well at Rangers as well but it hasn't really worked out down in England. He is a mouthy individual and not shy of a card or 2!

Deegan is an ex-Hibee and the number of mouthy Hibs players that used to frequent the Edinburgh bars and seek attention and trouble was numerous! Derek Riordan was the worst, horrible little rat.

Black is actually a decent player when he manages to stay out of the refs book. Gets stuck in and a good range of passing.

Scott Wagstaff has reluctantly left Bristol City to seek more appearances. He would be a brilliant signing for any club in L1.

We made it very clear that we wanted him when it was announced that he was leaving Charlton - but he then signed for yous.

I'd like to think we'll go back in for him, especially given he's worked with Parkinson when he was at Charlton. He strikes me as a southern lad through and through, and re-locating could be an issue.

Is he a left-winger? As I think we're fine for the right wing. Both Felipe Morais and Paul Anderson are back after both being out for the majority of the season.

Can see a club like Gills tapping him up TBH.

No word of that anywhere in posh land. Would be surprised if a prem club takes a punt at this stage. More likely in January if he starts well.

Could be. I wish him well wherever he ends up, apart from BS7 obviously. He has never let us down.

Gills is a good shout, his home town club I think.
Waggy can pretty much play anywhere tbh and did just that for us. A top professional. I'm sad to see him go but he would have been a sub at ours so it's understandable.
I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't end up at Swindon as he seems settled in the west Country and wouldn't have to move.

I'd have him at Rovers without a moments thought. Top player for league 1.

I agree about the 'top player' bit bud but with all respect, your place is the one I don't want him to go to. He's held in very high regard by us Cidereds and I just can't see him doing that to us. By all accounts, 4 clubs have already contacted City about Waggy and I would assume, given DC's situation, you wouldn't be one of them, yet. Surely, that needs sorting before you can recruit?
He's still very popular at Charlton so that might fit. Gills is his home town club so there's another one. Yourselves and Swindon local, there's another one (he wouldn't go to you, he just wouldn't). He won't be short of offers I should think.
Waggy is one of those very good L1 players that can do a job in the Championship but isn't quite good enough to stand out at that level. He's excellent in this league though plus he's an infectious character with a great personality. I'm really sad to see him go.

Doubt we will sign him. Only interested in players we can sell on for a profit. At 26 he's practically retired in Power's eyes.

Hope we do take a punt though.
