Mine too, not sure but think Duffy plays (or can?) on the left too which would provide a big threat for us on that side for Sharp to feed off...hoping the premature youtube videos doesn't mean they haven't actually signed and we've dropped a big one though.

Hussey is average at defending but a decent free-kick taker. He just be a wing back or left mid really. Gets caught out/loses concentration. Hopefully we got some money for him though.

If we go with the 4-2-3-1 I think Wilder had at Northampton then he'll be left back...should be reight though with two coving DMs.

Expecting Tafazolli to be signing number 3 shortly.

Gotta say I'm damn impressed so far, Hussey, Duffy and Tafazolli would be 3 very good first signings and so soon too. If its confirmed that would give us:

New*
Brayford Tafazolli New Hussey
.........Basham....New..............
Adams......Done.......Duffy
................Sharp.................

*Long may sign a new deal, will find out in the next couple of days. Not fussed if he goes tbh. Adams may well be off as Wilder hasn't mentioned him like he has Bray/Bash/Done and Sharp too.

Hussey came up through non league with us. He has a great left peg and can strike a dead ball. Defensively not great. A decent wing back. Oh and he can't head the ball at all.

We are interested in an un-named striker who is also attracting interest from 6 other clubs. So think it's safe to say we won't be signing Lee Novak

Its fine, we don't plan on defending next season

But seriously though I am getting excited at the prospect of wingers and fullbacks who get forward and can whip good balls into the box. Hopefully with a couple of very strong CBs (we currently have none at the club).

Bradford fans any latest on Hanson? Seems to have only ever come from your end but I'd have him in a shot to give us something different...and presumably do well off good crosses in. I know Leon Clarke has been mentioned too for that role.

Don't want him too much, we had him previously and I don't really think we need anymore CM's anyway.

No mention of Hanson since the rumour first came out, it's all a bit quiet at this end re transfers plus Hanson will probably be on one of his three holidays he has a summer

Everyone's favourite site HITC claim we're about to sign Aaron Phillips. Attacking right back apparently, no great idea who he is

Yup, he's currently in Dominican with a mate of mine!

Local journo is saying we are weighing up a move for the recently released Aberdeen goalkeeper Scott Brown. Brown is supposedly keen to find a club near is home in the Midlands and having previously been on the books at Cheltenham and Bristol City it's not beyond the realms of possibility. His representatives have reportedly already held talks with ours.

Ryan Tafazolli was someone I had hoped we had been looking at. Safe to say if it's between us and Sheffield United we stand a slim chance. Only bonus is Tafazolli had been at Salisbury while Clarke was there but as I said a slim chance and there's nothing to even suggest any contact from our end.

I love Leon and I hope he stays to give us the slimmest of slim hopes of staying up. He however misses a lot of easy chances. He should have bagged 30 goals this season and he only played for 3/4 of the season.

He's not a bad player, guts and a bit of quality on the ball but never had the physical attributes to succeed under Harris or Holloway.
Reckon he'll do well for you.

Hopefully he suits the style, he's not expected to be a bruiser so that should be fine. As long as he's confident knocking the ball around he should be fine.

Happy with got him, think he's a decent player Personally.

HITC also said we are interested in Callum O'Dowda. Imagine Oxford would be putting a high asking price on him though, can't see us paying any more than £500K so can't see that happening, unfortunately.

Why would anyone leave Gillingham to come to Walsall if he was wanted down there? Seems an odd one.

He (more his agent) is just looking for the best deal (most money) he can get.
If someone offers him more than we do then he will probably go there.
Don't suppose I blame him really.
Gills have now given him and Nelson a deadline I believe to make their decision.

 We will offer him something he could earn in the local Morrisons if he did a few hours overtime each week!

He'd be OK in the right team, but it's hard to figure out what his best qualities are. He doesn't seem to excel at anything. Has been a passenger in our side for the past two years.

Chris Hussey and Mark Duffy are our first two signings.

Very pleased with Duffy, no idea on Hussey though
Blade1889, we had Hussey for three years and I can't believe you've signed him.
He is adequate going forward but defending is pretty poor, he just doesn't track back or just goes on walkabout.
Nice left foot but so often over hits a cross or basic ten yard pass.
It does sound worrying that Bury let him go. When I saw us beat Bury 6-0 earlier in the season we were 4-0 up at HT and they took him off . He was woeful that day and it's very rare to take a defender off at HT but they had no choice he was all over the place.
He will give you the odd good game and probably start off alright, but you must prepare yourself to be disappointed when he starts to F up regularly
