Andrew Crofts is also training with us.

Gills fans?

Be nice.
First game back for us at Southend I thought he played well. That led me to believe that he would be an astute signing for the run in, sadly though he was pretty dire after that.
As previously stated it may be that he just needs a full pre-season to get back to a decent level.
I suspect though that at 32 and with his recent injury record that his best days are behind him.
I would have been pretty underwhelmed if we had signed him.

Crofts is a championship level player, who has had a couple of really nasty injury's in the last few years. He did not perform that well during his loan spell, and I could not tell if the injury's have finished him, or if he just needs a good pre season.

Suspect he will want good money and that is not a risk we could take.

Cheers chaps.

Sounds as if it's one of those signings that could be a hit or bust. I guess there's no harm in having him in for training and taking part in a couple of friendlies for now to have a look.

His age did concern me when I first saw that he was 32.

Weirdly, I've just been speaking to his dad at work.

His legs seem to have gone if the end of last season is anything to go by.

Billy kee and Aberdeens Scott Brown on trial. Not sure about Kee, prolific in league 2 but poor for Scunthorpe.

Didn't Billy Kee sign a new 2-year deal with Accrington just before the season end?

He wasn't really poor, he was just never given a chance. I think he started 1 game and then mostly came off the bench. I wish we gave him more of a chance but that's Robins for you.

Kemar Roofe has gone to Leeds for £3m :(

West Brom also get 40% of it.

That 40% has never been confirmed so may be a lot lower. Likewise we are supposed to have included a decent sized sell on % as well.

I trust our scouting team to find a good replacement as they haven't let us down yet. This may mean Callum O'Dowda playing centrally or if Maguire signs then him playing the no.10 role.

bang average and Chris Taylor don't belong in the same sentence. Long live the ginger Prince.
First time around for us he was decent, second time around he seemed to have a lost a bit of pace and his technique hadn't improved enough to compensate.

Well if he is worth £2m then Dack is worth £4m.

We've just accepted a bid from Burnley for 2.5mil for Gudmundsson :ffs:

A man who has scored plenty of goals in the Championship from midfield, topped the table for assists, just reached the quarter final of the European Championships and has three years left on his contract.

Oxford have just got 3mil for a bloke who hasn't played above L2.

Your board are actually competent though so you'll probably get your 4mil.

We have Gavin Gunning on trial who got sacked by Dundee Utd last year for just picking up the ball and walking off the pitch. SIGN HIM UP..

We've signed Duane Holmes on a free after he left Huddersfield.

Never seen him play but he'll be back up anyway.

Crawley fans are incensed because they thought he would be going back to them after doing well on loan last season but I get the feeling Oldham fans are not bothered. Sound about right?

Pretty much. Squad looking in good shape though, another forward and a couple of defenders and we're more or less done.

pretty much, there is a player in there but we have never got to see him. I reckon he will score for fun in the conference.

There's going to be some competition for the midfield places next season.
By my reckoning we have:

Josh Wright
Jake Hessenthaler
Scott Wagsraff
Billy Knott
Mark Byrne
Aaron Morris
Emanuelle Osadebe
Lee Martin

Plus the youngsters Oldaker and List.

I haven't included Bradley as he is almost certain to be off.

Good luck Waggy, a top man and a damn good player!
Home town club as well I think.
Yes indeed, he was born in Maidstone and The Gills were the first team he went see as a kid.
This may have some bearing on his decision as I believe there were quite a few clubs after him.

Very pleased with that signing. He was the standout free transfer for me that we had a chance of signing. He is young as well, feels like he has been about for ages but is only mid 20's.
