Sheffield United have agreed a fee with Brentford for highly-rated centre-back Jack O'Connell. #sufc #twitterblades #brentfordfc

Don't know much about him. Kilgallons car has been at Bramall Lane again today. Assume this would mean McFadzean isn't signing...seems to be doing the Hokey Cokey this transfer. Although apparently he's left-footed? So would still need a right-footed CB which would be McFadz? We'll go from 0 CBs to 4/5 in no time at all
J'OC is left footed. He's also pretty good. If Brentford hadn't recalled him from loan at the end of January 2015, I think we might have sneaked into the playoffs instead of Chesterfield...

Looks like Wilder knows what he's doing!

I do like J'OC - strong and honest player, good in the air and solid tackler. Good movement for a big lad too. Unfortunately he's not quite got the passing or composure on the ball to make it in our side at the moment, but I reckon he'd be a very strong League One centre back. Hope he does well as he always came across as a decent guy.

Signed Theo Vassell on a 1 year deal with an option of a second.

Seems like a solid squad player who we can develop.

Another great signing for the Vale if true. No confirmation from the club yet though

Isn't he

ok then

you know best.

Only reading what your chairman says departed user.

'We have offered very fair terms for a boy who may not kick a ball to November. Very fair and realistic terms offered and that is my final say'

Reading between the lines, that suggests to me that the contract offered takes into consideration the risk based on his injury.

But when our chairman says something like this, it usually results in better terms being offered and the player remaining at the club

Vale fans, I am only commenting so much as I am between jobs at the moment and spend way more time on the internet than is probably healthy.

I am intrigued by your direction, that's all, hence my comments on your signings, which of course I have not a clue how they will do. Don't take my flippance to heart!

Seems an odd signing if he has signed... Norway second division is surely similar to the National League here!

I'm pleased with Tavares and Kiko, The centre half Klopps should do well but 2 or 3 of them look very meh

Don't panic, they will all be world beaters and signing 'meh' foreign players is surely better than signing 'meh' British players anyway

He is not "injury prone"

He ripped his ACL last year and is still on crutches until November

We've already spent £10,000 on the Nuffield and physio equipment for him

It is not a case of taking a risk on a player with glass knees. This is a player with what used to be a career ending injury who realistically won't get to full fitness for another 5/6 months.

The grand a week he wants to sit in the physio room getting massages is not too expensive. It's not excessive. It's just unrealistic given he won't even turn out for the reserves until christmas.

contratações desconhecidos, seja cauteloso de jogadores estrangeiros que não conseguem se acostumar com o futebol Inglês.

Acho Port Vale precisa contratar jogadores britânicos também

Vamos, eu estou esperando que está tudo bem

Quick google translate suggests our Brazilian friend said -

unknown signings, be wary of foreign players who can not get used to English football.

I think Port Vale need to hire British players also

Come on, I'm hoping it's okay

Brazilian fan of Port Vale here

Are Port Vale essentially going down the Notts County route of signing exotic sounding players in a bid to appear slightly less tedious? It really worked for them...

At least you're not playing them first day. Don't know whether to expect an easy three points or a complete trouncing.

[QUOTE = "bantamigo, post: 447836, membro: 806"] Pelo menos você não está jogando-os primeiro dia. Não sei se a esperar um fácil três pontos ou uma trouncing completa. [/ QUOTE]
Or Bradford wins by thrashing or be surprised with a draw or defeat in the first round

Connor Ripley set to join us.

Goalkeeper from Middlesbrough - anyone know owt about him?

He played one game for us a couple of season back, hadn't met the squad and turned up on match day as an emergency loan. He had a bit of a shocker.

Nothing to really go off under the circumstances mind.

And some mystery Portuguese bloke that was "outstanding" in training.
